KUCHING: The mother of the “finger rape” victim wants the acquitted rapist to pay compensation and maintenance to her daughter.

The 51-year-old mother, Rosmiati Abdullah, has sought legal help to pursue the RM40,000 compensation awarded by the Sessions Court when convicting Bunya Jalong in 2013.

He was then convicted of four counts of raping the underaged girl at a hotel in Sibu in 2011.

The girl became pregnant and gave birth on Feb 5, 2012.

A DNA test confirmed Bunya as the baby’s father.

Last year, the High Court dismissed Bunya’s appeal against the conviction, varied the imprisonment sentences and ordered him to pay the compensation.

However, he was acquitted on May 7 by the Court of Appeal, which ruled that the man could not be convicted based on the present legal definition of rape, which covers only penile penetration.

The case became known as “finger rape” because Bunya inserted his semen-smeared fingers into her.

The May 7 court decision is unclear on whether the compensation still had to be paid to the victim.

The girl’s mother, who is a civil servant, also wants to file a suit for monthly maintenance to.

“I want to pursue the RM40,000 ordered by the Sessions Court and High Court,” she said. “I also want Bunya to take responsibility for his actions and pay maintenance for the child.”

She added that the amount should cover food, milk, diapers and other necessities.

Speaking to reporters at Stampin PKR service centre here yesterday, The mother said she was looking after the three-year-old boy since her daughter, now 18, was still studying.

A legal team led by state PKR vice-chairman See Chee How will assist the girl’s mother on a pro bono basis.

Wanita PKR vice-chairman Voon Shiak Ni, who is also a lawyer, said they would do their best to see that the victim was compensated.

“Acquittal doesn’t negate the responsibility of the accused to give maintenance to the child as he is the biological father,” she said.

“It is not fair for the girl to take full responsibility for the child. Furthermore, she is still schooling.

“In addition, compensation and damages should rightfully be paid to the victim as harm had been inflicted on her.”

I don't really call it modification, it's more like refurbish from a computer that more than 10 years old sitting in my home.

have a look and tell me what you think of it.

Cpu : Amd duron 1.8 ghz
motherboard : Elitegroup K7sem
Ram : 256mb sd ram x 2
hard disk : Samsung 80gb ide hard disk
OS : Window XP SP3

Here's what I've done:

1) Dissemble everything and washed the casing, Painted it with black paint and painted a tribal image on the side of the casing.

2) Removed the floppy drive and cd drive.

3) Bought a 120mm blue led fan and replaced all the led's with red led's and added extra 2 led's on the sides, Installed the 120mm red led fan in front by screwing it on the front plate of the casing.

4) Cleaned the cpu fan and applied new thermal paste to the heat sink.

5) Replace the ram from 128mb to 512mb.

6) Installed everything inside the casing and installed a fresh os.

7) Now it works faster than before, but I'm not using it.
