my laptop USB's port not working

Hello there,

i have a prestigio brand laptop with 2 usb ports..the problem is both of my ports NOT WORKING started yesterday with no reason in sudden.. i cant do anything now, cant plug thumbdrive, external hdd, keyboard n mouse and all USB device.. i suspected at 1st, maybe windows problem, so i formatted my laptop and backup all important files by burn with DVD (luckily my dvd drive working).. after formatted, i found PROBLEM STILL PERSIST happen.. i am totally BLUR .. there is NO SIGN OF ANY USB DETECTED ( some time if we plug usb and the hardware not recognize, it still can detect but need to install driver), BUT IN THIS CASE, NOTHING SHOWN , like NOTHING is being plugged into USB port although i have tried many usb devices (pendrive, hdd external, keyboard and mouse).. but what i found during this 'investigation', the POWER still supplied by the USB...for an example, when i plug the optical MOUSE, the optical light shown up..and when i plug my handset, motorola and SE, it shown charging and it is really charging (i normally charge my phone via USB from PC, so i know the USB port supplying power).. but IT IS NOT DETECTABLE ..

HELP ME PLEASE..I AM REALLY2 APPRECIATE ALL THE HELPS!! splease please please

please guys, I NEED YOUR HELP..i must decide it before this sunday..huhu..please guys,mind to share more about model that is WORTH TO BUY and GIVE BEST PERFORMANCE..anyway, shape doesnt really matter,what matter is the PICTURE QUALITY!!

CRITERIA : good indoor and outdoor snapshot, good day and night mode snapshot,anti shack, face recognition, less shutter time, good battery LIFE and memory..good shape will be BONUS

almost cracking my head..really need sifus and experience from lyn member regarding compact camera..i really need a frank opinion..by d way,budget around rm800 will do?any other camera's outside there recommended for my budget???

I am not sure either this pool had been made or not but i tried search it bout couldn't find any..so GUYS, please VOTE and discuss it WHY ?? at least give the MOST RECOMMENDED BRAND and MOST NOT RECOMMENDED..

Problem description:
hello there,

i need help regarding network setup matter. before this i used auto connect so dat my another 4 PC at home can be connect to internet using network HUB.i am using billion bipac modem as given by TMNET.but since last 3 days we cant connect at all.so i've decided to set my modem to a direct line connection (sorry if my network term is wrong,noob in networking here) and set it manually connection by using BRIDGE not PPOE.the YM and SKYPE is working properly but IE/FIREFOX are not working ..cant surf internet.. that's my 1st problem..already check dns server and set it manually and it's right...i dont set any proxy to my browser.. my 2nd problem,how to setup the NETWORK back?i want to link my other 3 pc's and connect to internet..hope u guys understand my question .. i really need some help from expert like u guys to resolve this matter..i would rather pay some money to those WHO CAN SET IT BACK TO NORMAL(SOME ONLY LA,mayb RM10-20..not much la..kawan2 price is OK,student ma) .. PLEASE GUYS PIMPING MY NETWORK!!!

!!PROBLEM SOLVED !!

at last i managed to resolve this matter .. so i would like to give SIMPLE INSTRUCTION to overcome this problem for those who might have the same PROBLEM:

CASE :

PPOE MODE IS BROKEN.CANT SET TO AUTO DIALER AND CANT SHARE INTERNET TO MULTIPLE PC'S. ONLY BE ABLE TO CONNECT INTERNET BY USING BRIDGE MODE AND MANUAL DIALER by SINGLE PC

PERIPHERALS :

BILLION ADSL2 5112S MODEM ROUTER
16 PORT Z-TECH SWITCH

SOLUTION STEPS :

1)SWITCH OFF ALL DEVICES AND UNPLUG ALL CONNECTION BETWEEN ROUTER MODEM WITH SWITCH or HUB. Let it be RESTED for 5 minutes

2)Now, forget the switch for a while and connect a pc/laptop to the modem router by using network cable and plug the phone line to adsl port..(dont use splitter) and SWITCH ON..let it be stable for 2-3 minutes

3)FLUSH all the setting inside the router to DEFAULT by pressing RESET BUTTON at the modem router and it MUST BE PRESSED AT LEAST 15 SECONDS. i am sure normally we press only few seconds.the trick here ,it only flush the username and password if we pressed 2-3 seconds while by pressing the reset BUTTON for at least 15 seconds it will SET TO DEFAULT MODE.

4)go to IE/FIREFOX and go to ip 192.168.1.254 and RUN WIZARD in QUICK START (Default username:admin password:password)..in the QUICK START, choose PPOE as connection mode and change the username into : yourusername@streamyx and password:xxxxxx.. and next and finish and SAVE it

5)Then restart the PC and try to connect to internet

6)after that OFF THE PC. switch OFF the modem router and CONNECT ALL PC'S TO THE SWITCH and connect the SWITCH to MODEM ROUTER by using NETWORK CABLE.and then turn ON all devices and let the ADSL light STABLE...

7)NOW ENJOY YOUR INTERNET SHARING

**CASES MAY VARY TO SITUATION AND CONDITION. THIS IS JUST MY TECHNIQUE AND I AM NOT SURE DOES IT APPLICABLE AND PRACTICAL TO OTHERS. BUT I WISH I COULD HELP ..

but anyway,STREAMYX is still SCREAMYX

i went to lowyat plaza last week,they have promotion of digi broadband edge.. quite interested coz the connection is everywhere in malaysia as long as got digi signal..price also OK la for unlimited usage RM99/monthly.. thinking of having it ..

anyone already use it?how's d connection..OK or NOT??
