27" Essential Monitor S3 S31C

hi, I just bought a 27" Essential Monitor S3 S31C. I did not know that it supported up to 1920 x 1080 resolution only at its official website: https://www.samsung.com/my/monitors/flat/es...ls27c310eaexxs/

however to use at that resolution means pixels and my wallpaper itself not as sharp.

I then went to my Nvidia settings and increase the resolution to 2560 x 1440, which is the recommended resolution for a 27" monitor.

I'm using a nvidia geforce gtx 1080i which I checked can support this resolution, but question is long term use will it harm the monitor? There's a disclaimer when I changed the resolution at Nvidia settings that it might damage my monitor.

Anyone in such a situation? I tried googling this Samsung monitor and this 2560 x 1440 resolution but could not find any answers.

If I know earlier so complicated just stick to old 24", hope sifus can advice here.
One day if got spare money will upgrade my PC, but for now just use for casual gaming and do work only.

Tennis Elbow due to Badminton

Hi LYN, anyone experienced tennis elbow injury before?

Last month I played badminton that was organized by company weekly. During one of the sessions I played like normal till finish, no pain during or after game.

Then suddenly next day, I felt the pain, sharp pain even when I try to lift things with my right hand (e.g. water bottle). It gradually subsided after I paste those patches, put chinese herbal medicines (红花油）, even see GP doctor to eat some muscle relaxants.

But the pain didn't fully go away till today. Yes much better than previous but if I try carry something near to 10kg above, I will feel the pain at the right arm. Later I came to realize the exact pain is Tennis Elbow injury:

I heard some people might even have this injury for months/ years.

How it happened? I'm suspecting it is when I return a backhand shuttle too strongly which cause the injury. Those who use backhand a lot please take note! This injury also known to happen to backhand and even known as "backhand elbow". Not worth the injury just to win that 1 point! Better to return it softly! Source:

[Important] avoid Washer Dryer Machine

We're using a 2-1 LG Washer Dryer Machine, model FG1612H2W

Last weekend the machine suddenly broke, starting with the touchscreen door not able to open, with weird UE etc errors appearing on it.
Then wife and me try to press here and there (without forcing it to open), reboot the machine etc.. end up later become worse with screen going blank but with sound.

After sent for repair, technicians tried to replace with new LCD door, end up it exploded, found out later the wiring also spoil:

He told us to replace this part is expensive, hence helped us to repair. Total cost to repair is RM800+ (the unit we bought was RM3-4k, forgot exact price).
Also advice us not to buy 2 in 1 washing machine dryer as they spoil easily. Not durable. Better to get separate unit. Earlier we get 2 in 1 is due to living at condo and want to save space.. didn't know this nightmare happen to us.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

I am officially diagnose with sleep apnea with a score of 22.8 after going through overnight sleep test. 22.8 means in 1 hour of sleep, I could end up with 20+ instance of not breathing + snore heavily.

Anyone manage to claim insurance for it recently? Such as for the CPAP device, or surgery?

I will go to PPUM to try on the device next month.. heard it's about RM7k per machine (somemore need maintenance on it).

Doctor say don't treat it will end up affecting my lung/heart function later on. They say it's either use the machine or surgery (as for surgery heard of potential complications arising from it).

Hope you can share your experience/treatment/insurance if you have gone through it or in the process of treating it.

Blocked left nose since young

I’m having bad snoring issues till it’s affecting my wife. Been breathing on my right nose usually since younger days. Left nose usually has small airway or totally blocked.

Checked online they ask to go to ENT specialists, and that blocked nose could be due to nasal Polyps or blocked sinus cavity.

Due to budget issues would prefer government or semi (provided cheap) hospital. Please share with me if you have any to recommend?

Any good centre for mentally disabled people to learn some skills, mix with friends, and maybe have a chance to recover and work later on?

Price not an issue. If you all know any mental health centres in Selangor or nearby that are good please recommend here ya.

My 3rd sis has mental illness history since she was 18 till now 38 still same. Schizophrenia. We planning to put her there to make better use of her time, rather than just at home sleep and do nothing. Maybe once a while visit her or bring her home before sending her back there.

Just wanna ask is your babysitter shutting down too for these 2 whole weeks? Just got news that my babysitter is not providing services during this time... very upset and dont know who we can turn to to take care of our 2 kids

playing paintball at night

Our company based in Sunway... recently my team brainstorming for a team building event session. So paintball is one of them. Problem is where is a good place to play paintball at night after 7pm? The facilities need to be able to support it. My team works on shift so best time is after 7pm on weekends.

Hope someone can recommend a good place.. if possible not too far away from us also. Thanks!
