anyone having trouble to terminate tm fixed line

Ayam has one fixed phone line at my house and we have been using it since many years back.

Recently, due to my father past away, I decided to terminate this phone permanently since all my friends and relative contact me via my hand phone rather than this fixed line.

Try to terminate via the TM website, mana tau the system keep showing error message and unable to proceed further in their website.

Nevermind, still can call them or email. I email them by the way, they responded that I must give 30 days notice and all remaining balance must be cleared prior to day 30. The day I made submit request was considered as day one.

I was like wtf, why got this kind of SOP one....

Still..I patiently wait until around 27/28 days...the unifi app showed the phone line got RMXX and immediately I made paid.

But till today (> 30 days already), I found out that this phone line is still active.

I followed up with the TM/ Unify CS. Surprise me I was informed they unable to terminated the phone line for me because I failed to clear remaining balance within 14 days and I have made fresh termination application by giving 30 days notice.

I keep explaining to the CS that as long as I paid the remaining within 30 days (as stated in their email) then should be no issue and the app did not indicated any outstanding balance until end of the month. But the CS just kept saying sorry, they can't terminate for me now and must give another 30 days notice and insist to talk to owner of this line (which is my father who has past away)

End of the story... I am thinking to:

i) lodge the report to the customer tribunal or kpdnhep and

ii) refuse to paid all the remaining outstanding till they block the line. But I am not sure what is repercussion since I was considering installing unify in my house in future.

Any advise from /k? No involving big amount but it is more like a conflict on my principle.

Any reliable external iphone repairer?

Recently my iphone 5c cannot start up properly after resetting and stuck at the apple logo and never go into the normal ios screen.

Bring it to the authorize service centre, the guy told me that they would do diagnosis test and if the issue is due to software issue, then they will reinstall the ios or the reformat it if still cannot resolve. If still cannot resolve, there is no much they can do about except offer me 1 to 1 exchange, new for old and I need to pay RK1,420.00.

I ended up in the second situation (hardware problem) and the data in phone also gone forever.

I want to try my luck on the external iphone repair parties, but no sure if it a good area since I hope can retrieve back and save some of my iphone data and RM1,420 is too expensive.

Any one can recommend reliable external party who repair the iphone in PJ?
Getting this award means a lot to all of us in the company. It brings pride at all levels of the organisation, not only to our partners (employees) but their families as well," said Starbucks Coffee Malaysia & Brunei managing director Sydney Quays.

Eight other companies were accorded the "Best Employer Malaysia 2015" title – American Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; DHL Express Malaysia; Eco World Development Group Bhd; FedEx Express; Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie; Marriott International, Malaysia; SP Setia Bhd and Sime Darby Property Bhd.

Aon Hewitt also presented special recognition awards to Marriott International, Malaysia for "Best Employer - Commitment to Engagement", American Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for "Best Employer for Generation Y" and McDonald's Malaysia for "Best Employer for Women".

FedEx Express, having received three Aon Hewitt Best Employers awards in the region this year, was also recognised as a Regional Best Employer in Asia Pacific 2015.

"Best Employers clearly achieve better business results compared to market. We found that Best Employers in Malaysia achieve significant higher growth in their income profits when compared to market average. This makes becoming a Best Employer a business agenda for Malaysian companies and not just an human resources agenda," said Aon Hewitt Malaysia managing director Prashant Chadha.

The Aon Hewitt Best Employers programme is a comprehensive study in Asia Pacific covering 12 markets namely China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

The study was conducted over a nine-month period culminating in a list of Best Employers for each market. Aon Hewitt announced the list of Malaysian winners yesterday in partnership with TalentCorp Malaysia.

"It is imperative for employers to conduct innovative and competitive practices that drive people and business performance to increase the human resources standards and expectations in the country for the benefit of both employees and employers. The Aon Hewitt Best Employers award acknowledges the importance of these practices for Malaysia to move towards a high productivity and high income nation status," said TalentCorp CEO Johan Mahmood Merican.
Phase 2 of traffic system in PJ to be carried out

http://www.thestar.com.my/Metro/Community/...art-this-month/

PHASE 2 of the one-way loop in Petaling Jaya will see the work divided into four sub-phases lasting 18 months, said Bukit Gasing assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran in a press briefing on the traffic system’s progress.

In its “Proposed Construction Work Programme,” the first sub-phase (termed “quarter”) will see the western half of Jalan Utara, Jalan Timur and part of Jalan Sultan being developed from March till mid-July.

The second quarter, starting from July till November this year, comprises Jalan Barat, certain sections of Persiaran Barat, the eastern half of Jalan Utara and the remainder of Jalan Sultan.

Other roads, such as Jalan Yong Shook Lin and the remainder of Persiaran Barat will be developed in the third quarter, which will start from December and end in mid-April next year.

The final sub-phase, such as final landscaping touches and road furniture such as bus stops and safety railings, is targetted for completion by Aug 31, 2016.

However, both Rajiv and Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) councillor Ang Ming Ern said a formal request had been put in to shorten the 18-month construction period spelled out in the original tender awarded, to minimise inconvenience.

“Based on the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety’s (Miros) recommendations, the council appointed Pakatan Jurutera Pintar Sdn Bhd as the road safety consultants,” said Rajiv.

Ang said the contractor and MBPJ would finalise details such as the access and exit points for stakeholders along the road, including Amcorp Mall where the exit point leads out onto Jalan Timur despite cars weaving in to enter Persiaran Barat ahead.

“The traffic flow is confirmed, we are adding further details such as gradients and other features to ensure road safety,” he added.

The planned survey on the traffic system’s business impact by opinion research firm Merdeka Centre will be conducted at a later date, despite an earlier statement that the survey and a stakeholder dialogue would be held before Chinese New Year.

When contacted, MBPJ councillor Lee Suet Sen said the firm had submitted its research proposal and costing on March 12.

Some residents, however, are unhappy that the one-way loop will enter its permanent phase despite the earlier three-month trial period.

“It was supposed to be a trial period. Where are the studies or numbers done to justify the continuation of the project?” asked Section 12 resident David Foo.

Furthermore, he said Jalan Utara ran past residential areas and its conversion into a six-lane single carriageway with free-flow traffic as part of the one-way loop, was basically turning Jalan Utara into an intra-city highway next to a housing area.

Foo also questioned whether the appointment of the aforementioned road safety design consultants would add more costs to the traffic system project.

Since the one-way loop’s experimental phase in October last year, there has been at least one fatality where a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Jalan Utara.

http://mykampung.sinchew.com.my/node/350205?tid=6

PJ folk has the different opinion on the pj one way loop system after MPBJ confirmed that they will make this plan permanent.

Some PJ folks think that the authority should build the overhead bridge and crossing line for safety reason. The one way system has affected their business dramatically and they hope the authority to revert back to the old system. Some of their business sales has dropped by 50% and some even close down for good.

The one way PJ loop system will be permanent in placed from 1/3/15 onward and some upgrading construction projects will be carried out in 4 phase. It is estimated that the whole projects will take 18 months and targeted to completed by 30/8/16.

The one loop system will affect Jln Utara, Jln Timur, Jalan Barat, Jln Yong Shook lin. However, Lorong Utara B and Lorong Utara Kecil will revert back to old two way system.

From Hilton Hotel to Taman Jaya LRT(Persiaran Barat) remain stick to the one way loop system. From LRT to 阿瑪廣場的柏西蘭西路 will change back to the two way system.

Why we need to pay 10% service charges?
We have been served by the cheap labour in restaurant, for example, Bangladeshi, Napalise, Indonesian etc.

Why have to pay that 10% service charges on top of the 6% govt tax?

How does this system started? How do we make sure that service charge collected goes to the waiters rather than ended in the restaurant's bank account as extra profit?

PJ one-way loop may be made permanent soon

PETALING JAYA, Oct 31 — The one-way traffic loop system, which went on three months’ trial on October 12, may be made permanent as early as December.

This follows positive feedback from motorists, mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad said yesterday.

“The trial was scheduled to last until January 12 but we might bring it forward now,” she said.

Alinah said the city council had received 96 complaints on the system.

Among them were a lack of road signs and street lights, wrongly painted arrows, and safety concerns for pedestrians.

The complaints have been attended to and improvements made.

“We appreciate the feedback by the public and we will do what we can to further smoothen the traffic flow,” she said.

Alinah said a survey conducted after the second week of implementation found that although there were safety concerns, many were happy with the traffic flow.

She said road widening work would continue.

“It is highly unlikely that we will decide to scrap this system after it has proved to reduce traffic congestion,” she said.

Alinah said the council would set up a specific call-line for motorists to lodge complaints instead of addressing the council’s general hotline.

During the first two weeks of its implementation, motorists voiced their frustrations as they claimed the route was confusing.

The council rectified the problems immediately with the installation of more street lights along Jalan Semangat, functional traffic light push buttons along Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Jalan Barat and Jalan Timur, and road signages around the loop.

The council’s traffic officers were also placed at bottlenecks to monitor and ensure smooth traffic flow.

On a separate matter, Alinah said the council had allocated RM11.85 million for maintenance of roads, street lights and traffic lights next year.

She said six teams had been assigned to patrol the streets, identity the areas where roads are damaged and rectify the problem.

Each team consists of five men, with two teams covering the SS and Section areas, and a team each in the PJU and PJS areas.

“Manpower for the teams would be increased if necessary,” she said.

- See more at: http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia...h.ZxhVwuM1.dpuf
