Hit by car (rude and rough driver)

Hi all,

On my way to work this morning, I was hit by a white car behind suddenly while we are stopping due to traffic light. I have been stopped there for quite a while because the traffic is slow and I am not emergency brake.

Obviously the driver (Indian) is oblivious or playing with phone or something and bang my car.

I go down and check . The driver is very loud and shouted saying nothing wrong with my car so on. I checked my car bonnet and nothing is bad although I can feel the hit inside the car during the incidence.

That Indian driver is very rude and keep shouting saying he will just go because nothing happens. When I request more info like telephone number he gave a random Number I guess which I am not able to verify at that moment. I capture the car plate number and when I attempted capture the road tax.he is so mad as if wanna hit me.

The car nearby stopped and maybe trying to help but he use his gangster style to ask them back off. He said if I wanna take his number he can call police come and we both pay 300. But he only wayang la.

Seeing my car is alright just calar, I feel like no choice but to let him go, only have the car plate number without the road tax and ic and phone number.

After reaching office I realize my car boot can hardly be closed unless I use excessive force. On the surface there is nothing dented etc.

So shall I lodge a police report as well on this case ?

The thing is no major damage or dented. Just car boot hard to close and met a bully driver.

Hi everyone,

Greeting. There is an on-going project by OHM Group (Developer: Zantalite Enteprise (M) Sdn Bhd)in penang area.

I go and enquire if they got provide affordable housing scheme in collaboration with Penang State Government, they said they do and their units are around 370k for 850 square feet unit. But want me to pay deposit first to apply.

I feel shocked as normal practice is we pay booking fees first right? I am not sure if I should do that.

Hope sifu here can give some enlightenment and advice.

Stock Constituents in Indices

Hi every sifu,

Do any of u know how to retrieve the list of all stock constituents (components) inside the indice FBM EMAS?

I try to search FTSE Russell website and only able to find top 10 constituents.

I am using maybank investment account and from maybank investment website , by using search by indice I only able to get the list of 30 stocks inside FBM KLCI. The search by indice for other indices like FBM EMAS and FBM 100 do not return any list

Hope sifu sifu here can enlighten a bit

First House Deposit Financing Scheme

Hi Everyone,

Good day to you all.

From budget 2016, I heard that the government us helping the first time house buyer with the following:

A) First House Deposit Financing Scheme
- assist first time house buyers to pay for deposit

B) 20% stamp duty exemption
- Shariah compliant loan instrument

C) 20k for renovation

Anyone has the idea how to apply them? I search through internet but did not find much information. I really hope can buy a small hut for own stay. Really appreciate all sifu give some information.

I dun hope to apply through the The complete banker programme because I don't hope to be placed in Commercial Banking.

The Complete Banker programme gives no guarantee for the division I wish to go in.

I really really hope LYN forumer can give some suggestion.

USB Block

Hello all sifu,

wanna ask u all one thing,

i have one standalone computer, Windows 7. Note: it is a standalone computer, not connected to domain or network.

I want to disable the USB usage of general user account ONLY. But allow administrator to have full access of the usage of USB.

Changing the registry key will cause both user and admin not able to use USB

I have tried changing using the local GPO, but to no avail. Can u all have some more detailed instruction on how to do this? I search and tried for several days but fail.

Can u all guide me?

I dun intend to resort to use software to block the USB.

Hello everyone,

I juz join a MNC in power generation division. Unlike what i expect, this unit is actually doing retrofit for power plant. At the earlier stage, i tot my division is doing some serious design, planning and implementation on plant building..

But my manager told me nowadays the plant building business is very competitive, so we are doing servicing and retrofiting. MEaning i am now SERVICE ENGINEER.

I was a bit disappointed and my colleague overthere (joining for almost one year) advices me not to continue, his reason is that he share the same experience with me last time. Expectation dont turn out to be the same as the true fact. And actually the job involves a lot of IT stuff, the reason he stay here is because he said he d get used to it.

I juz wonder how true his words are. I juz started job not long and i hope i can put out my best to do it. But somehow his words affect me a little bit.

Any DCS engineer here can share ur experience,

Basically my job scope is
- service and replacement
- HMI and maybe DCS in near future
- network stuff..

I am confused. Hope u all can help

I have given up many good offer just for taking this job. I dun hope to get disappointed.

Money or Opportunity

Morning all,

Got something really wish to consult experienced sifu here :-)

I am from electrical engineering background, sitting for final paper today.

I have got job offer from 2 companies.

The first one is a MNC in kl. They offer me the post of design engineer. I am lucky enough to enter into a very good division ( dealing with OnG business) where the company rarely take fresh grad in or degree students. They offer starting pay of RM 2.8k to me, (same salary for first class and non first class).

The second one is Singapore Power (SP) from Singapore. They offer me the post of engineer (not so sure the scope, but i think is more on maintenance, but if i am experience enough, they may switch me into the technical planning division, where they will only recruit master or higher qualification ppl). They offer me starting pay of SGD 3.2k (first class), and additional SGD 500 for car allowance. (yes, they need me to drive in Singapore).
Other than this, they offer also the annual wage supplement of one month salary extra, meaning work 12 month, get 13 month salary. (not to mention bonus)

The most tempting of SP is that they are planning to give me a scholarship (not so sure the amount yet, but wont be less) to buy me back my 4 years of study in local university here. They said this is to compensate what they miss to offer to me 4 years ago. the return is to bond for 4 years in SP. They said SP scholar will have placement in australia for 3 months, which is a very very good experience.

Really in dilemma. I don't know which to choose. In my opinion, the MNC in kl is like a rare chance to get in, but i oso not so sure if i could cope with it. And i am so scared of too much politic in Malaysia. For the SP job however, i have exposed quite a lot in my university life because my final year project is relating to the scope in power transmission, which is a partner industrial project.

Problem: SP inform me too late and i actually sign the offer from the MNC in kl. reject needs compensation. And i oso paid the deposit for house rental in kl. second prob is i dunno 500 enough for driving car in Sg?

This is meant for serious discussion... I really wish to get consultation from u all....

May i know if there are what ways to reduce the taxation in Malaysia. i heard buy book can rebate up to RM 600. Is it true?

Any other way?

Juz wanna know if this company is fraud bcoz my mum might wan to take the job as part time free lance after retired..

Hi all

Juz gt an offer as a design engineer in one of the MNC. The division i joining is Power Generation.

I guess the job is something related to control.

Anyone with relevant experience can contribute some opinions?

Most importantly, is there any suggestion what things to read up to cope with the job since i am a fresh grad.

opinions on the prospect of this career may be put forward as well.
