MBPJ Red Parking Lot

I did search MBPJ website and LYN forums and google but basically can't find answers, so here am I. You guys know the red parking lots (instead of the normal yellow for users whereby you need to pay with coupons via the vending machine) that are rented by shopowners/merchants in front of their shops. My question, is the parking lot belongs to the shopowner 24/7 or we can park there after certain times (e.g. before 8am and after 5pm, weekends, public holidays) or only when their shops are closed? Something like season parking in malls where it is open for public after office hours? Thanks. (kindly quote your source of information, if any)

Tethering on OS 3.1.2 for Digi

Current Firmware : OS 3.1.2 (7D11)
Current network: Digi
iTunes Version : 9.0.2 (25)
PC/MAC : Mac
Jailbreaking software : n/a
Problem Encountered :
I read in the forums that 3.1.2 doesn't allow tethering on non-legit Apple partners. But according to this website, http://www.volkspost.info/ipcc_fw3/ ,tethering should be able to be done with a custom ipcc file.

Steps Taken So Far :
I followed the steps and create a custom ipcc file. Install it but still no Tethering option. I suspect I could put in the wrong name under "Carrier Name". Initially, I put in "Carrier 5.0" (it's really SHOWED that on my iPhone!). Then I changed it to "DiGi". But still no success.

Problem description:
Normally I used my friend's Streamyx account (a few floors above my house) and with portforwarding, my download speeds (through wireless router) can reached 140kb/s for highly seeded files.
Today, technician from new ISP came and installed broadband at my apartment. Tried to configured portforwarding but when I clicked on the "test if port is forwarded properly" link in utorrent, the webpage told me that "Port 6886 can not be checked. Your browser is setup to connect through a proxy." What does this means?

I am downloading the same file, yesterday at my friend's house is 120kB/s but today only 20kB/s (and I noticed they seems to capped the TOTAL download limit at 30kB/s). I suspect this got to do with the ISP, as I did the same procedures in portforwarding.

Is this because of PPPoE vs Dynamic IP for the WAN Connection Type in my router? My ISP doesn't require any username or password to log in.

Kindly advise. Just want to know what is the reason behind this large decrease in speed. If this is the ISP problem, at least I know I have try all my best to throttle my bandwidth on my side.

Nokia 3110 Classic problem with playing 3gp files

I use www.vixy.net to save some Youtube videos into 3gp files. Then I transfer the files using SD card to my Nokia 3110 Classic. But I can't open them! What went wrong?
On the other hand, if I took .3gp videos with camera, it can be played back!
Did I miss out a step?
Please help.

p.s.: I m using Windows Vista.

How to extend the range of wireless connection?

Guys, I am staying in a hostel. We have a deal with the cybercafe owner in the hostel to install a wireless router to his Streamyx connection for a fee. The connection is working fine for those who stayed near to the cybercafe but not for me! I got quite weak signals. Worse still, my Linksys wireless PMCIA card to my laptop is 802.11b!
What could I do to improve the signal quality?
1. One of my friends told me that I could use another wireless router in my room to 're-transmit' the signals.
2. Another told me that Apple Airport Express could easily extend the range of the signals.
What should I do to extend the range of this connection? I don't intend to buy another PMCIA card, though. So kindly help.

Another question:
If I can't solve the above problem, I would have to turn to my instructor for help. He got an Internet connection (school's account) in his room, which is nearer to my room compared to the cybercafe. Besides using a router, is there another way to share out this connection between his room computer (no wireless network card) and mine? I am not very familiar with Airport Express but the information on www.applemalaysia.com.my seems to give the impression that it could be used to share out the connection. Is it true?
