so if i relocate from cheras to subang.. phone bumber sure change lor... can i still maintain my streamyx account?

i think i have a contract binding for 24 months (screamyx combo), so i don't want to pay penalty because i intend to continue with streamyx..

Pc Slow and Lag after format

Hey guys,

Wonder if any of you can help me on this...

I recently formatted my pc... and instead of cleaner & quicker pc... mine became slower...

Previously... on XP when i drag the windows along the desktop.. no lag.. and i was able to play games (CS, hitman, etc...) & watch movies smoothly...
and i can use most resolutions...

After format and reinstalled XP, when i drag the a window, it lags... when i play the same games... i cannot even enter the starting screen...
And... when i play movies, it jerks...
and i can only use 800 x 600 and 1920 x 1080.. all in between cannot.. and monitor will be blank!!! and have to restart to VGA safe mode...

Is there a problem somewhere?

My PC specs as per my signature...

Note : Of course, i have installed the same drivers as before and the whole system is the same...

BTW, when i install windows 7 just to test it out, i can watch movies and drag windows without jerking...
games can play, but laggier than before formatted my PC...

Please help, since i miss my old games in XP... thanks..

1M speed lower than 512k

Dear all,

Wonder if anyone here can verify the truth in this...

first i was using 512k speed in the area,,, i was getting speeds of 380kbps download and 250kbps upload.... think it's normal?

then i upgrade to 1mbps.... but i am getting 222kbps download and upload 426kpbs...

i made a hell of a noise to tmnet... how come after i upgrade.. but my speed is lower than the earlier package...

so this morning the technician/ contractor called me... and he said that my area cannot 1mbps because the main port is not open... so he suggests that i take back the 512k, else i will be paying xtra and getting less speed..... he said that he will need to wait for some main port to be opened before he can push the speed back up....

what gives? is this true?? sucha thing can occur? i mean why allow me to upgrade and pay 1Mbps but unable to give me that speed? just tell me cannot ler?

Can anyone share similar expereince or verify the above?

BTW, my area is Taman Lagenda Mas, Cheras Selangor... - postcode 43200

will it work as fast as normal wired LAN?

there are those rain, grime and water droplet stains which do not go off... practically stuck to the car windows and windscreen... how to clean all these? is there a chemical solution where u can DIY instead of going to car wash?

noticed that the speeds dropped....... streaming is no use... using 218.111. ip... went to the speedometer test from tmnut's website and all i got was 66kbps/.... 66!!!!!!!!!!!

when i had 380++ i was complaining to get the 500 mark...

has their service dropped this low?? RM66... that's what i pay a month to get 512... not 66!@!!

i am from cheras, kl area...

anyone else with this problem?

do we need streamyx already? even if we do... shouldn't we just use the min only?? RM44 package? or RM20 package? or.. just line...

how can they do this to us consumers???

with p2p and torrent gone... can't even view youtube decently... can't video conference... can't video chat... even skype is suqy...

dial up would be the best choice... do not need to online unless you really have to...

even better... do not even subscribe to tmnet.... use dialup or bb jaring or anything else only... this monopoliser needs to be thought a lesson on consumer rights!!!
