C# and SQL Server 2005 Deployment

Hey guys,

I have a doubt regarding installing application developed in Visual Studio 2005 using C# and SQL Server 2005 as back end. My doubt is this.
My development machine has SQL Server 2005 installed and the application is working properly. When I deploy and install this application on the client's machine I can install the .NET framework 2.0 for the application to work properly. But how about the database. Do I have to ask my client to buy SQL Server to run the application or are there any components available that allows my application to access SQL Server 2005 .mdf database without having to install SQL Server 2005 on client machine. Hope you understand my question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Redirecting mail to gmail

Hi guys,
I am wondering how I would be able to redirect or send a copy of a mail I receive on my website email say, mailid@mydomain.com, to my gmail account, mailid@gmail.com
How can that be made possible? I cannot always log on to my server and check mail. Since I use messenger it will be easy for me to get new mails in my gmail account.
Any help wud be much appreciated.

How to accept online payment on website?

Hi all,
I was planning to develop a website using ASP.NET that wud allow users to place food orders online and pay for it. The idea is that every registered user will have credit balance (just like Digi or Maxis) and they can use the balance to place orders online. Customers can top up credit by online payment, say from Maybank account. So how can I let my users pay through Maybank (or any other bank), and know which user has paid.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi all,
Does anybody have the WinXP Professional drivers for COMPAQ Presario V3307TU. I did not have the driver cd and the drivers were in m hard disk. I formatted the hard disk cos of virus and now cannot find the drivers on the COMPAQ website also. I sent mail to Compaq but no reply.
Compaq website has all drivers for Windows Vista but cant find network, vga, motherboard drivers for XP.
Please, it wud be really helpful if anybody cud help me by giving the drivers.

Siemens MC35i auto SMS indication

Hi all,
I was working with VB 2005 to create an application that will send and receive SMS using a GSM Modem(MC35i). I am not pretty sure about the AT+CNMI parameters I am supposed to use so that I get information about the newly received SMS as "+CMTI: "SM",3" where SM is the memory storage and 3 refers to the index.
I tried some codes and it is responding with +CMTI when the message is recieved, but it does not give me the index of the message. Meaning that, the reply is just "+CMTI: "SM",".
What might be wrong? Has anybody used MC35i before. Need help.

Send Instant Message to MSN using VB.Net code

Hi all,
I am able to send an instant message from a VB Application to my MSN messenger contacts using the Messenger Type Library 1.0.
But the problem is that, when I send a message it opens a new window everytime. What I want is to send instant message from code and I dont want the to open a new window in MSN messenger.
Can anybody help with this?

I am stuck with a Java program.
I am trying to connect to an event service and i am getting error when using JBuilder 2006.
It works fine when I run from DOS prompt.

Line 86 is the line i was referring to above in bold.
I think it is a problem with the VM parameter or something, cos naming service is working on JBuilder 2006.

GSM AT Commands question

Hi all,
I am working with a GSM modem for my project. Now I will explain the problem. Many users can send SMS using my software to mobile phones. To send SMS using my software users have to register first. I will take an instance here to further explain my problem.

Say registered user A sends SMS to mobile number 123. Until here it is fine. But when mobile number 123 replies to the message it is received by the GSM Modem of my system. I can retrieve the message from the sim card, but I do not know who the message is sent to. Here, for instance, 123 has sent the message to user A, but when I am receiving 100s of messages per minute how can I know which message is for which user.

My solution:
One method I thought of is, when 123 gets the message from A and selects reply, an identifier like <userID-A> appears in the text of the message and then person can write the message after that. So that when I receive the message, I can check the identifier to know which user has received the message. Can this be done or is there another solution?

Any help wud be greatly appreciated.

Face Detector Software

Hi all,
I plan to do Face Detector Software for my final year project. Which means that the software should accept an image as input and process to find if the image is of any person who has his photo already in the database.
Neural networks would be used for the face recognition. I am just starting out and short on materials to read on. Google search cant give me beginner level tutorials on the topic.

"Drive not ready" error !

Hi all,
I bought a new Lite-On SATA DVD Writer and installed it in my computer. The drive can read from discs properly, but cannot write. I installed Nero that came with the writer and when i click on the Burn button, the burning progress goes until 6% and then it stays at 6% for a while and later it displays error "Drive Not Ready : LiteOn LH-20A1S".

I tried other burning softwares also, there i dont get any error messages but writing progress stays at 0% always and in any case i cannot eject the CD out of the drive and I have to restart.

Anybody has encountered this prob before??Need help !!!

Hi all,
This is the code used for the Buy Now button to be used in my e-commerce site.
Here as u can see I can pass in item name to pay pal. But can I do that programatically. What I mean is, if i use the below code as such for my Buy Now button, then paypal will always get item name as "Painting" and value as 5.25. But i want buy now button to be used to pass values to pay pal based on what the user has selected to buy. For example if the user selected to but Ribbons then i want o change the item name to Ribbons programmatically. How do I do that?
Also is it Ok for me to put this coding for the button in ASP.Net??

Hi all,
In my program, i have a class, say ClassA. This class starts two different threads say defined by ClassB.

So inside class A i have,
