SHANGHAI: China and Hong Kong stocks slipped on Wednesday as doubts re-emerged over the prospects of a US-China trade deal.

The CSI300 index was down 0.5% at 3,889.58 points at the end of the morning session, while the Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.4% to 2,941.25 points.

The Hang Seng index dropped 0.3% to 26,717.18 points, while the Hong Kong China Enterprises Index lost 0.4% to 10,507.16 points.

An interim trade agreement between the United States and China might not be completed in time for signing in Chile next month as expected but that does not mean the accord is falling apart, a U.S. administration official said on Tuesday.

Despite the trade concerns, foreign money continued to flow into the A-share market via the Stock Connect linking Hong Kong and the mainland as Beijing vowed more opening-up.

China will eliminate all restrictions on foreign investments not included in its self-styled "negative lists", a vice commerce minister said on Tuesday, and also will "neither explicitly nor implicitly" force foreign investors and companies to transfer technologies.

Technology transfers have been a major source of tension between China and the United States as both countries have been embroiled in a trade war for over a year.

Investors were also watching corporate profits as the third-quarter earnings season will soon conclude.

Consumer firms fell the most on the mainland, led by electric car maker BYD slumping 5.9% on bleak profit and outlook.

The A-share market is cheap compared with other types of yuan-denominated assets, but would stay quiet within the rest of the year, as the decisive policy and economic factors for a bull rally are yet to emerge, Shengang Securities noted in report.

Around the region, MSCI's Asia ex-Japan stock index was weaker by 0.36%, while Japan's Nikkei index was down 0.37%.

The yuan was quoted at 7.0649 per U.S. dollar, 0.01% firmer than the previous close of 7.0656.

So far this year, the Shanghai stock index is up 18.46%, while China's H-share index rose 4.2%. Shanghai stocks have gained 1.69% so far this month.

As of 0401 GMT, China's A-shares were trading at a premium of 29.51% over the Hong Kong-listed H-shares. - Reuters

Couple in MPSJ stray dog abuse incident to lodge police report

Koh Tat Meng and Diong Mei Li, the couple involved in the incident involving the alleged abuse of a stray dog by Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya officers are set to lodge a police report this evening over the matter.

Raj & Sach, a law firm representing the couple, claimed that the said dog is possibly dead or seriously injured due to the rough treatment and abuse by the said MPSJ officers.

"Our client, Koh was also assaulted by the said MPSJ officers during the incident," they alleged.

They also claim that their clients were wrongfully arrested by the police on the same day despite having committed no crime whatsoever.

"As such, our clients have decided to file a police report at Balai Polis USJ today at 5.30pm against the MPSJ officers for their brutal assault against a helpless dog, so as to ensure that the perpetrators of this abuse are brought to justice.

"Our client will also be lodging a police report for assault."

The incident was captured on video which went viral.

Yesterday, the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, who is also the Royal Patron of the Stray Free Selangor (SFS) campaign, issued a statement saying she was "disappointed and saddened that such cruelty was still happening in the community despite the numerous awareness campaigns on strays."

"I was very upset by the video clip which showed MPSJ employees trying to catch a stray dog in an utterly inhumane way," she said in a statement posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.

She also said that she was informed that State Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Committee chairman Ng Sze Han had apologised over the abusive conduct of the MPSJ staff in the matter.

when i click to open
get a screen detecting LEDS
then next nothing happens . look like it just stop .

Any one have polychrome working with ryzen 3000 series / ASrock SL .

is your polychrome app working ?
what version are you using .

need your guidance on which Mobo manufacturer has nice user interface software and easy to use/understand. + nice graphic
from bios, Fusion , Aura , polychrome , MSI controls,
bios setting interface , controls like Fans , RGB , Lan and other monitors
do they work .

i dont have any hands on experience only reading reviews which don t give the real picture.
its confusing after reading some info , and most so little info.
just like to learn more before i decide on the one .

I was interested in the sensonic M12ii as the co website states Jap capacitors , FDB then i saw a
review ( inside look ) that they are using taiwanese caps and double ball bearing fan .
Amazon and Newegg is also giving conflicting specs .

1) Is it true if you install 1 8Gb , 3200 Mhz your desktop will run on 1600 Mhz mem speed .

2) And if you install 2 sticks 8Gb ,3200 Mhz your desktop will run at 3200 Mhz . mem speed ?
