cut the story short. let say i'm becoming 2nd guarantor for new SDN BHD company (loan with bank for capital)
what is the consequences for my credit rating? total amount rm100,000

i know the risk of not paying the loan.

what i want to know is the other risk (no problem in loan repayment)

1) will it affect my future loan application (personal loan/car loan/housing loan)?
2) any other concern?

would appreciate if you guys can shed some lights on the above matter.. and kindly please give straight answer for the question...

Insurance claim for super old car

is it true that you cannot claim insurance if someone's car bang your car from behind and your car is super old car (more than 30 year old)?

seems no workshop want to repair my dad's car (if we want to claim insurance)

end up we pay it by ourself.

Hi all coders

Anybody want to share their own system maintenance tools that being written in vbscript?
I'm not so good in writing vbscript from the scratch but I think I'm good in manipulating other's vbscript or to combine their script.

Please share some of your tools. We could share something useful for our daily working environment.

Currently I do have scripts on
1) Checking current system properties (disk drive, RAM, CPU with email report)
2) Server's online status (Ping function with email report)
3) Differential backup for SQL2000 (could be apply to SQL2005 Express too)
4) Registry Backup
5) Automatic old file cleanup

Any other tools that worth to apply in any organization?
Highlight me some ok.

sql 2000 restore process?

i know how to restore the database, from full backup and differential backup.

let say the full backup date is 2/11/2008.. and the differential backup date is 3/11, 4/11, and 5/11..

if i want to restore data as recent as possible..
then should i just restore fullbackup and diff backup dated 5/11 or i have to restore all diff backup from 3/11 until 5/11?

where to park? any other place recommended besides the one that i stated below?

1) pudu station
pro: ticketing system, quite safe, they won't lock for motor left for long period
cons: parking fee per day basis, pay when want to exit

2) midvalley
pro: 1 ringgit per entry for weekdays, pay once when u enter only
cons: dunno whether they will lock the bike or not

hello mod.

i found that many unconstructive opinion/solution being posted in technical talk.
the solution that they give is "format OS" or "reinstall OS".

not every problem required us to do something with the OS. even it is more easier but it does not help us at all.
if we encounter problem. we should help others to identify where the problem lies. and what is the proper solution without formatting/reinstalling OS.

please take a note on this feedback from me.
i really feel irritated when i read such answer in "technical talk".

hi.. just wanna ask something related to our forum rules & regulation.
i understand that we're prohibited from discussing warez, crack and all those illegal stuff 'how to'..
but we also have a special section for anime discussion including where to download all those anime movie.
isn't this also considered as illegal stuff?
its still the same like downloading mp3 and movie from internet in which is illegal, isn't it?

Adobe InDesign CS2

Hi..
I've purchased Adobe InDesign CS3 coz CS2 is no longer in the market. Then only realize that it cannot be installed in Mac OSX Panther. Upgrading from Panther to Tiger is not an option for the time being.

I've called Adobe and they said that the license that I've purchased can be downgraded to CS2. But, the problem is, I don't have the media cd for CS2 with me. I've try to download, but seems the tryout version is not working. I got it from adobe ftp site.

So, anybody knows where to get the working tryout InDesign CS2 version?

Mac OSX - Slow in startup

as stated above..

it takes 30 to 45 mins to loading the OS (from the login screen, right after user click on his name to login). anyone knows what to tweak?

HDD error in autosensing (Dell)

Bought an 80GB SATAII Maxtor DiamondMax 10 (model:6V080E0).
Date of purchased: November 2006

PC: Dell Optiplex GX280

Here it is. Just now happened.

"Error autosensing secondary harddisk drive0.
Strike F1 key to continue or F2 to run the setup utility."

Problem: I don't want to call Dell technical support because I bought the harddisk from local vendor. I just have one harddisk install (as per above description). But why the BIOS say error on secondary harddisk?

I try to boot from backup harddisk and it run normally.

Anyone knows how to settle this error?
Don't ask me to format the harddisk. Thats the last option that I want to try.

I dunno la.. suddenly since yesterday my streamyx connection shown that I've been connected at 1.5Mbps.

before this our connection is just stable at 1.0Mbps

can someone give me some useful tips and advice? ok, i started working in this mnc company (not IT) for about 3 years already. 1st year i started as helpdest technical support team. after that i requested to transfer under network n infrastructure team in which my post now are pc & network exec. i'm looking for better working environment to broaden my knowledge, experince and also get better salary.

to make things worst, i'm doing a system administrator job for almost 2 years. but, my boss still not say anything about my current job. whether i will get promoted or not. all still unclear. current system admin now doing business operation related. bit by bit i'm taking over her work.. but not her salary.. hehe..

hello..

i just cleanup one laptop that contain so many malware and virus. then, i install windows defender, update the definition file and run a full scan on that machine. it successfully remove "trojan downloader" process that running in the background.
this is the only process that cannot be detected by our Trendmicro Officescan.

then, there is the problem. the laptop will sometime goes into BSOD after a while. this problem is intermittent. after some troubleshoot, i realize that there is one process running in task manager only after it connected to internet. the filename will be vary. but the file extension is the same " *.tmp ".

tried to search for the file in registry but it could not be found. plus, the process cannot be ended. it will prompt "access is denied".

does anyone encounter such a problem before and how to fix it?

hello.. wonder if anyone can help me or not..
is there any other way for users to access lotusnotes without having admin rite assigned to them? if normal user assigned to their userid, it cannot be launched.

i've tried to use script "run as admin", eventhough it is working but its quite complicated and buggy.
tired of googling and searching on the net already.

looking for some genius to help me on this.

hi there, anyone knows whether Kingston officially launched their 8GB products or not? I got friends who sell this thumbdrive for a cheap. RM180 a piece. My other friend who bought it have a problem. Initially its working fine. when he dump big files on it, it resulting pc hang and after restart the contents cannot be read. Sounds like it need to be reflashed again.
