Does anyone know of any contractor who’s experience in sintered stone installation , in particular for tv wall panel? There are four panels in total and I just need labor for installation. Does anyone also know the estimated cost?

[WTA] Tile Shops carrying big tiles

Hi all sifus,

I'm just wondering if there's any tile shop carrying big (for instance 750x1500mm) tiles that is really plain (like just plain cream).
Most of the shops I see have tiles with pattern for that size, so I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light?

Also in MY, do we have satin tiles? (in between matt and glossy)

Domestic helper (maid) asking for advance salary

I've recently hired a DH (through an agency) from PH and she has been working with me for close to 3 months now.

I would say she's proactive in cleaning; nothing excellent but enough.

One week into the job, she has requested to advance about RM700 from her salary. She said her family has some issues and she needed some money. Probably a stupid move, but I got soft-hearted and obliged to it. I've also told her that I'm not comfortable with this and do not want to see this happening too often.

Nearing the end of the second month, she asked to advance her salary again. Since it's only a week away from her payslip, I agreed to it.

Now, 3 months into the job, she asked if she can advance her salary by 3 months. Her reason this time is because her family in PH is being chased away by the landlord and she intends to have a new place for her kids (and her sister who is caring for the kids) which is big enough to also operate a stall at home (apparently it's common in PH to do some stalls at your home).
This time, it really got into my nerves. Is this truly a common thing especially for PH domestic helpers? Seems to me like this is just going to repeat itself, clearly she doesn't know how to handle her finances well and frankly speaking, her issues are not mine to bear.

I won't compromise this time but just wanna know if any forumers here had any good experience in handling this?
