Hi all master, taikor and sifus,

My current desktop PC is 5 yrs+ old now and is getting worst performance now as RAM slot and PS2 slot start malfunction

I decide to change my desktop PC CPU, motherboard, RAM, hard disk but i still want to re-use my graphic card, power supply (PSU) since I just change them 2 yrs and 1 yrs ago respectively. Any recommendation for the model of CPU/RAM and motherboard? I am not a heavy user as i only use my PC play diablo 3 , surf net and watching some movie at my free time

My current power supply unit model: Cooler master EX2treme 525 (RS-525-PCAR)
current Graphic card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6670 for AMD processor (1GB GDDR5/PCI-Express 2.1)

Budget: Below 1k

Hi all sifus,

i planning for upgrading my graphic card for playing diablo III, my pc is 3 years old + with current spec is

AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 5200 2.71Ghz
4gig ram
Motherboard Unknown as i buy it second hand from my colleague
Graphic card Gigabyte Nvidia 8500GT
PSU cooler master RS-430-PCAR (Max output power 400W)

I hope to upgrade my current GC to a new GC which price btw 200 - 350 (eg HD6670), anyone know that is my current PSU able to support this card?

Lagging while playing 720p mkv file

I have a AMD Single Core athlon 3200 (1 Gig ram) which brought in 2006. I face a problem yesterday when i try to playing a 720p and x264 mkv file. The video is very lag when i try to play it on my pc. My housemate mention it is codec problem but i doubt that is it due to my computer spec do not meet the playback requirement? Any one can comment on this?? Thanks

blue screen when open avi/rmvb/other video file

Hi experts, need you all help here. I face a problem here. When i try to open a video file (variety format like rmvb,avi etc), my desktop pc will automatically blue screen and restart. Anyone face this before?? Do anyone know how to fix this problem because i do not want format my pc
I am using window XP and using storm codec/km player/window media player classic to open the video file.

when boot hard disk encounter disk read error

Dear all expert, can you help me on this??

When my pc is boot up, it come out an error message "A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart". When i try press ctrl alt del and reboot pc, it come out again. My pc cannot load the windows at all.

i try to go into my pc BIOS session, BIOS can detect my hard disk. I had try to connect the HDD to my friend pc, his BIOS can detect the hard disk, in my friend pc's device manager, can detect the HDD also . But when try on "my computer" of my friend pc , cannot see my HDD at all.

Is it possible my hdd is faulty already?? I only buy it in last July. I need to open back the HDD because it has many precious data within it.

My problem on Olympus u760 digicam

I just buy my first digicam recently (Olympus u760), from what i heard from salesman, this photo got Dual IS (Image stabilization) feature which is anti handshake

But when i use my camera to take normal photo(in daytime), with image stabilization is on, as my hand shake a bit, the photo will show up in blur. Can anyone comment/explain about this? Is it the problem on setting (i set as no flash whentake photo) or it is the flaw on this camera?

I also notice that, when i copy the photo i take into my pc, i saw that the picture copied's brightness is more darker than i see in camera's built in LCD screen, is it also setting problem or else?

Hope any digicam expert here can help me on this problem. Thanks

Age 24. Maintain career in IT field or change?

Dear all lowyat fellows. Need your opinion here. I am IT graduate with 2 years exp. After i graduate in IT (major in programming, but do not know is IT really my interest or not), i work as a programmer in a software development company for 7 months. After this because i am not feel suitable in programmer life, i go to attend a networking course and get a CCNA (Cisco network professional certificate).

After this, with help of pass 4 sure, i get CCNP (higher than CCNA, but actually, if you are study CCNp b4, u know if u use pass 4 sure to get CCNP certification, u will know that i do not has CCNP knowledge because once u study pass 4 sure b4 CCNp exam, u will get pass because the pass 4 sure question is almost same as real CCNp exam question). But actually, my interest is not on Networking, because heard that career path after get certified is good, so i study CCNA lo. After this, i work as a helpdesk in a company, after 5 month, i change job again cause i see every friend of mine who get attend networking course with me are in network field.

So because i do not want waste my certification on CCNP (but only has CCNA knowledge only), i go to do a Level 1 network support @ HP (12 hrs per shift one, day & night shift). Just because of the working hour is odd (8.30pm - 8.30 am if night shift), after 6 month i resign again and now i work as Level 2 network support at one local company (work for 4 month now).

Now, i start know my network knowledge is not enough to do this level 2 support. When i try to study back my Network reference book and e book/CCNP study material, i feel that i not comfortable at all for network. I also unable to solve many of the case escalated to me. i start thinking am i suitable for sustain in network field cause a long the way i involve in network because of recommend of friend. My current salary now also not very good (around 2k, No OT, No allowance and need stand by 24 X 7) .

I start looking on my friend which doing banking sales(he earn more than 4k per month) because from what i think , working is for money only, if work 24 X7 and OT no $$, my effort not being pay, why i need to do it?. Now i thinking change my job to sales cause i can earn a lot, how all of you thinking? Pls give opinion (I change 3 job in IT, now 4th job in IT, i also think this is no good). I know this article is damn long but many thanks for your opinion and help, I am confuse now. Please help

HELP!Data Lost After Format Computer

Please help. Before i format my computer, i had backup the file (total size 4GB+)from C Drive to another partition of my hard disk(F drive) and my F drive is remaining 300MB space after this back up. After this, i format my C Drive. After i reinstall my window OS, i find out what i back up to F drive has been lost. But my F Drive free space is still remain 300MB. My F Drive has 31.5GB capacity, now has only 300MB space remain, but when i select all file in the drive,the total size is 26GB+, this means the file i backup i still remain in the drive,but problem is only dunno where the file locate in the drive. Please help me.Urgent

i had configure port forwarding for my BitComet, but when i try to play DOTA blue server,i am very hard to connect to the server, do this related to my port forwarding to my BT application? Pls help, thanks

Computer Very Lag During DVD Burning

I am using a P4 1.8 Ghz Processer,MSI MS-6533E Motherboad,512MB DDR2 RAM and a pioneer DVD Burner. When i burn a dvd, i found that computer will be very lagging if i perform other task at the same time. For eg,: if i view a pdf file and burn dvd at the same time, when i try to scroll down next page of my pdf, it will delay about 5-6 second,another eg is, if i listen mp3 and burn dvd at the same time,mp3 sound will also be jitter or delay 5-6 second. Is anyone know what is the problem? help me~~ thanks
