Cpu cannot reboot..

Yesterday, i tried to on my cpu n monitor..but the cpu's lamp just blinking n my monitor been suddenly off..like it was not connected with cpu..then i tried to restart..but things seems similar like before..then i switch off the main switch n opened it back..but my cpu can not turn on..but seems like the light at the button was there..

Then i had asked my junior to check it...he opened motherboard to check if there something burn or short circuit..and also a battery ( round shape..such as watch's batteries..i dont know its name)..but he still not managed to identify the problem..

Today, i had went to Pc shop..he tried to had looked it..when he tried to see it..he used a screwdriver..when he touched a part at the motherboard..there was a little spark..he said that my junior had wronlgy connected the wires..so there was a short circuit..that is what im worried about..is there any possibilities that my motherboard will damage due to the spark??

But after he changed the power supply with the new one..my cpu can turn on like usual..but im worried about the spark?is there any possibilities that my motherboard had damaged due to the spark?

what are the characteristics show for the damaged motherboard??plz help me
