electronic store sales cheat with pwd

I just bought a laptop from a quite known electric store. It has several pwp items. And I bought two. One if it is wireless mouse. Which is cheap. I purchase this using some credit company loan because I have good account so low interest.

the thing is when the company apply for my loan. They added another two expensive pwp item costing around 350. And the credit company only ask for main product- the laptop when asking for confirm. Didn't tell main cost either. Just product and monthly payments.

the thing is when I pick up my laptop. They told me the other two item are free gift. Im already suspicious. And when I ask where is my mouse. The salespeople mention he forgot and that is when my blood boils. It when I ask all kind of stuff and when they try to give excuses I ask them for proof. This ended with the sales person told me not to bring this up with his manager and provide the mouse for free.

once I arrived near my home and close to the credit company. I give it a visit and comfirm with a print out that the two expensive pwp item are not free gift. I was charged. This piss me off.

but here is the thing. I have use for those two item and might buy it in the future. But it still piss me off.

so for now I decided to keep it. And in the future to never buy from that store except with cash.

The reason why salesperson can do this is because their receipt when you buy via loan only have product list but not price (this might give you clue which shop).

Any of you experience this before?

quite sad really. I have been buying stuff from that brand electronic store for so long (but not that branch) in this is the first time it happened. Sigh.

local 4WD / truck

Perodua used to make Kembara, but now I don't think there is any replacement.

I'm looking at pick-up truck, but it seems that the only option is Ford / Toyota Hilux, which made the price expensive.

My second option was a 4WD (automatic), but it seems that there is no Kembara replacement. I think Proton used to make cars with truck bed(?) before, but what was the model? Was it discontinued?

Is there any option for a cheap 4WD truck? Thanks.

(I know there was one for sale in motorhome quite sometime ago...)

is there any hidden group of nomadic (at least on weeked) people here that I didn't know of (maybe sleeping in their car / van) - like some in the US did.

do you plan to own motorhome should it being sold locally?

Guitar screw - amp plug part

I own an electric guitar, an Aston. Due to busy schedule, I haven't touched it for a long time. Now that I want to practice it again, when I tried to plug-in my amp, I notice the screw that hold where you insert the amp plug was lost.

I went to the guitar shop but that part was not sold there.

So, where can I find one? Thanks... or any guitar fixing shop around KL?

Brain Waste - your opinion

While there is a lot of talks about 'brain drain', what about 'brain waste'?

There are two school of thought here: some only consider those that migrate and do menial jobs, and some that also consider those that stayed in their home country, but never liven up to their potential, due to various reasons.

For example you might have read 10s of screenwriting books from the local libraries, and try to wrote a few, but having no access to filmmaker, and with the current problem with all the related 'persatuans', and other things, your ability in screenwriting were not utilized. You day job could be a cash register attendee or something along those lines.

What do you think?

App Store scam

In certain religion, if you remove a nails off the road, you will get "pahala" for every people that would "nailed" by it in different timeline should the nail still there.

now let's get back to app store. Have you ever report a scamming app to the app store team?

I just did for a 0.99 app, out of principal. It's not about the money, its about doing what right. I don't know what kind of description they use to get main page or something (i think it's due to the price, and fake title / screenshot and description. That really shoot up the download numbers. Maybe the scammers think people would just wave it off due to 0.99. But I really ask the app store team to investigate it, remove it off the app store if needed be, and refund everyone so that the scammers only get 0.00.

I don't want to drop names, but have you ever face this kind of things before? Scammy app?

For higher purchases I usually investigate around, and make sure it's well known and recommended app (eg: Art Rage for Ipad, and I have Art Rage for windows). Or try the lite version, or the free version (usually there is in app purchases for upgrades). There are really awesome app that I bought due to it's awesomeness (usually to remove limit).

So, how many time did you fall for a scammy app? This is my first time. (there is another, but the app is okay-ish enough I'll just let it slip, (let me check my account, oh, it was free, since i didn't bother with the in app purchase).

Maybe due to 0.99 I decided to try it out.

How long have it been down? when will it get back up again?

long long time ago i did purchased some songs there (mp3 and wma). i stopped after realizing there is too much problem with the drm'ed wma sold.

not only you need WM player to activate it (sorry if your standard wma player is winamp - there is some error messages but it doesn't tell much, and there is no faq at all). and it will not play even in wma capable player - despite after being activated.) only via right click, open in WM player it activated succesfully.

anyway, what happened to hypptunes actually? i still have a lot of free downloads coupon available in my account back then.

does anyone here who close enough with music industry to know what happened to hypptunes? it's under TM...

New Ipad - Seng Heng or others

I just want to know, if anyone here have any info. Since Sen Heng is official Apple distributor, will they have the new ipad on 20th?

Other than Sen Heng, does anyone know if the shop is selling it with 36 month zero installment via credit card?

Does AllIT Hyper mart sell it with 36 month zero installment via credit card?

I don't want the credit card side of spreading - they will charge you anyway. But for vendor side 36 month, there is no charge, AFAIK.

So, does Machines (KLCC) provide such deal? I don't remember reading any when I visited that place.

EDIT: Not to mention credit card side of spreading only limit you to 24 month only, AFAIK.
