Hi guys, I went to see a specialist doctor at gleneagle and I was charged rm225 for initial consultation. Was asked to do MRI but the slot is full on the same day, so the doctor booked second day for me.

I went to the mri scan second day and doctor asked me to see him after the scan. On the second day he charged me again for rm105 follow up consultation + rm150 mri consultation on top of rm1225 mri with report fee.

I wonder how come double consultation fee on the second day. He just merely comment the mri is fine no major finding and said very busy want to to operation room already. Seeing him for about the most 5 minutes.

Then I asked for discount he said it’s standard that consult is consult, explain Mri is another thing..

So I wondering is it normal? Two visits back to back cost me roughly rm500 consultation fee with no proper explanation. Just said it’s aging and do more physiotherapy.

31 Visits to Proton Service Centre in less than 2y

I won my Tribunal case against Proton. My car still vibrates.
31 service centre visits. 2 Tribunal sessions. 30+ hours of phone calls. And it's still not fixed.

Proton told me it was my tyres. I changed them. The vibration is still there.

This is my Proton X70 story — 23 months and counting.

October 2024 — Car delivered. Problems started almost immediately: roof rack cover flaring, brake pedal vibration, brake screeching, wiper noise, left rear knocking, air-cond hissing.

November 2024 — Brake pedal sank to the floor. The car died coming out of a junction.

Dec 2024 – Jan 2025 — Brake lines flushed. Rotors and pads replaced.
September 2025 — Steering rack knocking. Seat ticking. Dashboard rattling.

October–December 2025 — Steering rack replaced. Clock spring replaced. Steering became asymmetrical. Brakes started screeching again. Steering still produce knock sound

January 2026 — Proton emailed to say they would no longer entertain my case as all of those are within the specs

April 2026 — I won my Tribunal case. Proton was ordered to repair the car within 14 days.

April–July 2026 — Instead, I waited. Proton said they were waiting on parts. Two months passed before any repair happened.

July 2026 — Steering rack and engine mounting finally replaced. I collected the car with worse problems than before — heavier cabin and floor vibration, and the steering knock now came more often and hit harder than it ever had before the repair. I was told the new engine mount just needed to "break in."

August 2026 — Proton HQ inspected the car. Their own service team confirmed there is vibration on the floorbase. Their explanation? Tyres. ~20% tread left. No further diagnosis until I replaced them.

September 2026 — I replaced two tyres with premium Continental UX7s, at my own expense.

The vibration is still there.

The floor still vibrates. The steering still knocks — more often, and harder, than before July. The dashboard still rattles.
I know how a 3-cylinder engine with a 7DCT feels — it's a different character to a 4-cylinder, and that's never been my complaint. I drove within what I'd call normal tolerance for months before the replacement. The vibration and the worsened knocking I'm describing started only after Proton replaced the steering rack and engine mounting in July 2026.

31 service centre visits.
2 Tribunal sessions.
30+ hours of phone calls.

Countless emails, holidays, and days off — days I could have spent with my newborn and my toddler instead of standing in a service bay.

I'm not asking for a 4-cylinder driving experience. I'm asking Proton to fix my car properly, in one go, so I don't have to keep giving up family time and off days chasing a repair that should have been done right the first time.

Every date, email, invoice, and the Tribunal award referenced here is on record.
Two years in. Still the same nightmare.

I am tired – both physically and mentally. I am worried that I could develop a mental illness on this.

Every single item on this list needed a fight of its own — just to be acknowledged, let alone fixed:

Brake screeching (solved) — Called "normal." I drove my brand-new car to any eatery with people staring at the noise. I had to keep appealing before they agreed to replace it. (solved)

Brake pedal sinking + car dying at a junction — I was told that unless the pedal sank during their test drive, they'd need to keep the car for their staff use until it happened again. I went to a different service centre instead — they did a brake bleed. (solved)

Air-cond bubbling noise — Dismissed as "normal expansion." It was loud and constant. It took months of pushing before they agreed to fix it. (solved)

Unexplained "tik-tik" noise — Denied outright. Months of persistence later, they finally traced it to the driver's seat. (solved)
Steering grinding noise — Turned out to be caused by the clock spring replacement, which left the steering asymmetrical between left and right turns. (solved)

Steering asymmetry — More turns to lock left than right. Called "normal" — until I proved the difference against their own demo car. Only then did they run a computer reset, which fixed it. (solved)

Steering knocking noise — They said they couldn't hear it, despite repeated emails with video proof. It only got acknowledged after I insisted the foreman ride in the car with me — and I filmed him hearing it himself. (Pending)

Floorbase vibration — Blamed on tyre wear, 20% tread remaining, at just over 17,000km. I replaced the tyres with Continental UX7s. It fixed nothing. (Pending)

I am sharing my experience and the issues with my car not with the intention of blaming, attacking, or pointing fingers at Proton or any individual.

My main purpose is simply to seek opinions, suggestions, and possible solutions from the community so that I can hopefully identify and resolve the problem properly and permanently in one go.

As the vehicle is still under warranty, I have been advised to avoid carrying out repairs or diagnosis at outside workshops, as doing so may potentially affect my warranty coverage. Therefore, I am relying on the authorised service centre and Proton to diagnose and resolve the issue.

I genuinely hope that by sharing the symptoms and experience, someone with relevant technical knowledge or similar experience can help point me in the right direction. I just want the problem to be properly identified and fixed, so I can enjoy the car normally again.

iCloud not working when connect to WiFi

Hi guys, I’m with CelcomDigi that tapped into Unifi infrastructure. I experienced iCloud not working since three months ago. All files not able to be upload or download unless I switch to mobile connection or using ProtonVPN.

I tried to ping iCloud.com and 50% of the packets are timed out but 100% fine with VPN.

iCloud also work fine with WiFi at other place. Anyone know what’s the solution?

Penile Cyst, pain for 2 months like balls get kick

Hi everyone,

I had a cyst on my foreskin for several years. It was benign, painless, and never really caused me any problems. However, about two months ago, the cyst suddenly became swollen and painful. Strangely, the next morning when I woke up, the swelling had completely disappeared.

Ever since that day, I have been experiencing persistent pain ranging from 6/10 to 8/10. The feeling is like being constantly kicked in the testicles. The pain has been ongoing for two months and has significantly affected my daily life.

I initially tried to consult several dermatologists, but most of them declined to see me once they know cyst is on the private area.

TLDR: I am considering undergoing more thorough investigations like Doppler ultrasound or an MRI to check the root cause of this pain. I have a Prudential medical card (PruMillion Med) which I bought four years ago. If I were to admit myself through the emergency department at Gleneagles or another private hospital, would my medical card able to cover the cost? The urologist I consulted mentioned that I would need to pay first and there is no guarantee that the scans would be covered by the insurance company.

I am from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. If anyone knows of an experienced specialist in this field, I would greatly appreciate your recommendation. I am willing to travel to Kuala Lumpur for better treament

Timeline of Events

Eventually, I visited a government clinic and was referred to the urology department. They prescribed me antibiotic while waiting for the appointment.

Because the pain was severe and my appointment was scheduled a month later, I decided to seek help from a senior urologist at Gleneagles with over 30 years of experience. I asked whether it was possible that part of the cyst wall or its root remained and whether it should be removed. He told me that there was no need for surgery and admitted that he could not explain the cause of my pain. He prescribed antibiotics.

Later, during my appointment at the government hospital, the urologist there was very kind and attentive, but he was also unable to identify the exact cause of the problem. He prescribed antiviral medication and medication for nerve pain instead.

It has now been two months. Despite taking so many pills every single day, the pain has not improved. It remains at around 6/10 to 8/10 most of the time. The sensation is very similar to being kicked in the testicles repeatedly. It has gradually affected my ability to work and function normally, and I am no longer able to perform as I used to.

Before all of this happened, I was very health-conscious. I paid attention to both my macro and micronutrient intake, walked at least 10,000 steps daily, performed strength training three times a week, maintained healthy blood pressure, and avoided smoking, vaping, and alcohol completely.

I would sincerely appreciate any advice or recommendations from those who may have experienced something similar or know of specialists who deal with this kind of conditions.

Hi guys, recently I developed an epidermoid cyst on the foreskin of my private area, and it suddenly collapsed. Since then, I’ve been having constant pain — it honestly feels like someone is repeatedly hitting my testicles. The pain hasn’t improved even after a week, and now I’ve also noticed a small new cyst forming in another area nearby.

At first, I went to KKM and was given ibuprofen and antibiotics. After posting on the forum, many of you suggested using medical insurance in case surgery was needed, since pre-hospitalisation medical fees could also be claimed.

I then booked an appointment with a urology specialist who has 25 years of experience. After examining me, he said he had no idea why I was in pain. According to him, the original cyst was already gone, so surgery was unnecessary. I explained that a new cyst was forming and that the pain was still severe, but he insisted that such a small cyst on the foreskin shouldn’t be causing this level of pain. In the end, he refused to perform any procedure and only prescribed another course of antibiotics along with stronger painkillers.

He kept suggesting that the pain might be related to lifestyle or diet instead. I told him I don’t smoke, don't drink alcohol, and generally maintain a healthy lifestyle with clean eating and daily runs of at least 5km.

Honestly, I feel really helpless because the pain is still bothering me badly, even with OTC painkillers. Has anyone else experienced seeing a specialist who didn’t seem helpful at all yet the charges is cutting throat?

Motorcycle tail light and signal is blocked

Hi guys, this morning I’m behind a motorcycle that is riding at 10-20km/h speed. Her brake light and signal light all covered by decorative doll hanging from the motor. Can’t see her signal and brake. The moment I want to overtake her, she sway to the right to go into another Junction and scratched my car. I can’t see the signal despite she said she did have the signal on. Then only I realise the doll is covering the entire back of her motorcycle

Her brake handle on the motorcycle is broken. I paid a small sum of money to her to compensate and now she’s calling me said she need to change her absorber as well as the workshop said it’s bended.

I wonder is the absorber my liability as well? She also mentioned that she need to go clinic to see doctor as her finger has light bleeding due to the friction.

How should I handle this case professionally so that it’s win win situation? The moment she hit me, I stopped immediately and give my assistance. I didn’t run away and give her my contact. I told her to settle within ourselves. But never expect she would called for more.

I wonder whether it is covered under medical card. With prudential medical card for 4-5 years now and never submit a claim before.

Gov hospital said they would arrange appointment but until now not heard from them anymore. So I am thinking of consult private doctor and get it removed.

Hi guys, my proton x70 2025 mc2 experience a knocking noise when turning the wheel after they replace steering rack of my car.

Their technical team insisting it’s normal and nothing to be concerned. But the noise really bothering me. They lodge report to HQ said it’s minor noise and HQ decision rule it with negligible term and so it’s not under warranty.

I lodge to KPDN and get referred to Tribunal. After lodge to tribunal, proton message me as below

4 years old experience high stress and trauma

Hi guys, I enrolled my four years old son in this kindergarten at the beginning of this year. Prior to this, he attended a taska for approximately one year and was generally happy and emotionally stable. However, since starting at this kindergarten, I have noticed a noticeable change in his behaviour and he appears to be experiencing a high level of stress. Based on my observations, the level of care and attention provided has raised concerns.

Within just one week, I noticed the following situations:

1. Children are left to cry for extended periods without being comforted. Teachers just remain at their seat and on some occasions, children are getting scolded. For example, “You keep crying, from the beginning you only know how to cry”

2. Children who are not yet fully potty-trained are fiercely scolded.

3. Televisions in the classrooms are used to play YouTube content such as Cocomelon during periods when teaching or active supervision would normally be expected. As a result, children are exposed to screen time throughout the school day. After returning home, my child also appeared less interested in cartoons or television programmes he previously enjoyed.

4. I was told at school that milk is only a supplement and not necessary. After this, he returned home saying that milk is “just water” and “not nice.” Since then, he has shown distress and strong resistance towards drinking milk. My child who previously had no issues drinking milk in taska for one year.

5. Parents are required to provide food containers and utensils. However, when these are returned home, I noticed leftover food and milk residue remaining inside from morning until we picked him up is already 5pm. This resulted in strong and unpleasant odours raising concerns regarding hygiene and health.

6. Although parents provide socks as the school requires children to wear shoes at all times, after shower time my child returned home wearing shoes without socks. Now his feet is full of scar and peeled skins.

7. My child developed small rashes or dots across his body which may be related to prolonged sweating without proper cleaning or changing of clothes over an extended period.

8. My child mentioned that a teacher hit him. While there were no obvious visible signs of physical injury, this statement caused significant concern.

9. According to the school schedule, outdoor activities such as cycling and basketball are planned for the final slot of the day. However, during my visits, I consistently observed the children remaining indoors watching YouTube videos instead.

I paid approximately RM3,000 in registration and related fees which are stated as non-refundable in the sign-up form. However, I was not aware of the school’s standards being as described above nor that the services provided would differ from what was initially communicated. Wondering any possibility to get any partial refund from the school?

Proton 4s body and paint repair

I’d really appreciate some advice on what to do next. I sent my car to a Proton 4S centre for an insurance claim after a minor accident where only my bumper was scratched.

However, when I got my car back, the condition was much worse:
• Paint stains all over my seats
• Scratches on my tail light and engine hood cover
• Engine cover full of dirt
• Steering damaged and rattling, like it was smashed
• Dismantled parts were dumped inside the car, scratching the surfaces

Even the new bumper they replaced has cracks, scratches, peeling paint, and dust stuck under the paintwork.

My car is less than a year old proton x70 2025 mc2 facelift version.

Dentistry service in government

Hi guys,recently I went to private dentist for multiple visits as well as multiple X-rays had been taken but my problem is not solved yet as they can't identify which tooth is the culprit from 2D X-ray.

Private dentist advise to go for another CBCT scan (RM600) and told me that I might need to go for root canal (RM1800+)

This is quite financial burden.

So I try to go for KKM as others recommend that it is as good as private and we only pay minimal.

The dentist there just merely check and then ask whether I got bring any X-ray along with me.

After that she said if root canal need to do scaling and tooth filling first.

But I already did those few days prior to the government visit.

She said oh yes, but I think still not that clean. So I can't make any root canal appointment.

And the next visit appointment for scaling is scheduled to March 2026 (next year).

She said root canal can only be arranged after that, that is their SOP. so most root canal most probably 2027/2028.

So she recommend me eat painkiller daily if I can tahan else fork out money to visit private clinic.

I wonder is it normal for government dentistry to work that way? It's my first time there.

The next moment when I log in back, everybody was asking me whetehr I am okay? But from my Whatsapp, I never send anything.

My friends and family told me that I have sent them a virus-link/website to them during midnight.

Sony 65 inch TV <1 year Screen cracked

What's the risk of replace new brake pad and rotor

Hi guys, I had complained my proton x70 2025 that purchased in Oct 2024 several times to service centre about I feel a mild pulsation and vibration in my brake pedal regardless of whether it's in motion. But the pulsation become obvious when braking.

I tried their test unit also have same feeling but theirs are like 3/10 of chances to have such pulsation meanwhile mine is about 7/10.

They said they not able to feel it but they could offer me to replace my brake pad and brake rotor. My current mileage is about 2000km.

But my worry is whether they would spoil or potential to break the car even further when they replace my stock brake pad and rotor? Risk of like bubbles go into brake line or any damage to the brake component during replacement of brake rotor/brake pad until the car won't feel the same anymore.

My previous myvi have the brake job done where workshop replaced rotor and brake pad. Then, the car feel completely different and starts to vibrate even more than before.

Proton x70 2025 Vibration UPDATE#4

I sent my proton x70 2025 that is a month old to SC for checking why there is vibration on the floor base and driver seat.

Told them that must inform me what they intend to do to my car before any repair. The assistant service manager said sure!

But after that, I realised my car was not there. The third party subcontractor had do the alignment and balancing to my car without my consent. And worse is they drive my car out without my consent… I have told them anything I’ll co-inspect or test drive with them.

After that, I realised my brake has the problem right now. My brake pedal is spongy and would vibrate upon braking or even idle right now.

I called back to sc to look for manager. Manager don’t bother to return my call and always not there. The assistant manager that served me had given me his number last time.

So I gave him a call and he said would return my call. Since then, he won’t want to pick up my call anymore

My car is only a month old with barely under 1000km when I sent there. The issue has persisted for weeks now.

Nobody take up the responsibility. I have sent several emails to proton HQ but they said would ask respective service centre to contact me.

The service centre there is a nightmare where most of the foreman there are unskilled. They just tried to ketuk2 the brake disc and loosen the nut and tighten it back. Would this be main cause of why my brake act this way right now?

Just a quick update, my brake pedal eventually sink to the bottom.. so I went to SC, they asked me to test drive with foreman. But their outcome is no brake fluid leak, and I can’t stimulate the brake pedal sinking problem. They need me to show them or the brake pedal sink when foreman test drive. Else, they need me to left the car there and they will drive everyday until it sinks.

In the mean time; they said the problem is intermittent so they can’t do much for me and asked me to continue drive.

Is this normal?

Just a quick update to this case

I called to Proton Care to ask regarding the status of my case. The service centre have send in the service report that the car has no issues that mentioned by customer. We advise customer to left the car but customer reject. Hence, nothing that they can do to help.

I am literally pissed off with this kind of sc when they told me to left my car there for their technician to drive daily until the problem pop out instead of inspection.

Hopeless kind of 3S service centre.

Some peoples ask me to try using the water bottle method to check the vibration of engine. here's the video of the vibration but SC said within spec and normal. It affected my daily driving experience. Can any sifu clarify whether it's normal?
