Full WFH Companies in Malaysia

Hi everyone,

It has always been my dream to travel the world while working, but so far I have not been able to find the right opportunity.

I am currently on 3-4 days per week WFH arrangement with my current employer in banking industry and specializing in tech/data area. While I'm thankful for that, I am looking for full WFH arrangement to achieve my ultimate dream. I'm sort of having critical illness as well hence trying to achieve as many "wish-list" as I can (Don't worry I'm not gonna die anytime soon, I'm managing it). I am willing to put in the effort to get into the company.

I would really appreciate if anyone knows any company that still provide full WFH. (or required to be in office only once every 2 weeks or once a month)

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hye all!

I've seen a number of opening currently in Grab and GxS.

Anyone working or worked in Grab want to share your experience? Or perhaps you have heard your friend talked about it? Lets share it here hopefully can benefit those who wish to learn about their working environment.

Reviews in Glassdoor, Indeed, Jobstreet are hopeless because mostly the grab drivers gave the most review instead of those who actually work in back-office.

Cheers!

Should i take the offer?

Hye All,

I just want to see from a different perspective from different person.

So recently one of the company called me and say Im good fit for what they looking for and asked me if i interested. I quickly say yes.

I dont really feeling like going actually from the beginning, so i asked for crazy amount of expected salary (40% increment from current salary) and to my surprise they actually said im selected for the post after 3 days of IV. i was so shocked because i thought they will reject my application due to the salary i requested.

Since i got the offer and they willing to pay me that much, now im indecisive.

My current job is considered good, i had agreement with my current boss to WFH 4 days in a week and he is always flexible. I really like WFH because i save time alot from commuting to office which can waste about 3 hours everyday. Now i really do feel i have work life balance and this is what i always look for a long time previously. Its not i hate to be in office but i hate the commuting which is just a waste of time plus tiring.

So in new company i have to be in the office every day but with with RM5k different in salary is really something to think about.

My end goal, i dont want to work in corporate forever and already starting my business now. By having this time flexibility is really helpful to me in aiming for that.

Corporate world is not for me, office politics and kiss assess + i hate when people telling me and force me what to do. But i can work better if given responsibility instead of instructions.

But if i decline this opportunity I'm afraid i will regret it because for my age and experience, really hard to get that amount of increment already, im still young at early 30 years old working in IT line.

That extra income also can help me contribute to my capital injection to the business, but I will lose my time.

Hope you can give your perspective.

Cheers! TQ

What it is like to work in IT Sales / Presales?

Hye all!

I feel curious on how working is like to work as a sales or presales person?

Like, what do you do in your day to day job? Is it relax as compared to many other IT positions?

What do you hated the most and what you loved the most?

What about career progression? Salary good or no good haha... and anything else you wanna share...

I still remember i got offered a presales position in Oracle many years ago when i just graduated but i didn't take the offer at that time.

I've been in operation role, been in governance role, somewhat know about developer role... but not really sure for sales/presales... So just curious about it suddenly.

Thanks Peeps!

Need advice! (Buying property)

Hi Guys,

Need some advice. Coz ive been thinking for so long and havent make any decision till now.

Perhaps i can get new perspective from you guys all the property gurus!

About me:
Age: 30
Status: Single
Race: Non-bumi
Working: at Bangsar (will i be working in same company for rest of my life? dont know)
Property budget range: up to 600K max that i willing to pay

So i've been searching to own a house soon since im currently renting and i want to have a better living space. I'm not willing to renovate people's house. So considering my age i think its about time.

I got few choices here:
1. Subsale condo in KL (500k+) - for example the Leafz near kuchai there or sunway belfield infront of PNB tower
2. Subsale double story terrace house in Old klang road (500k+)
3. Condo in Cyberjaya (400k) - not yet know which unit interested
3. Buy land (350K for 5000+ sqrt feet) and build own bungalow house (additional 250k?) in Kajang

Looking at short term and long term. Which one would i benefit more?

What would you choose? and why?

Thank you!

Buying BMW 328i VS Audi A5 Sportback(Need Advice)

I plan to buy either one of these model soon. Both year 2012. I'm looking at 80-90k price range with <100k mileage

I know Audi year 2012 and below has alot of issue (drink oil, gearbox problem etc etc). Hence, i was told to opt for year 2012 above for the A5 model.

Need expert opinion on this before i make my final decision.

Would really appreciate your input as below:

1. Maintenance Cost (Minor and Major)
2. List of common problem and issues (with estimate price if possible)
3. Considering this is an old model, which one would depreciate much faster?
3. Which one is better and why?

P/s: Izit common for 328i to sound so noisy around the engine area....

Thanks sifus.... appreciate much!

Is it like below?

Assistance manager
Manager
AVP
VP
...
...?

In which level does one manage a unit? for example network team? or database team?

I was offered AVP few years ago but i turned down the offer.

I heard people said AVP/VP in banking is just a glorified title? and then my friend said all bank is not the same.

Hopefully somebody in banking industry can help out!

Thanks guys!
