Dear k/tards

I was working for gov for almost 4 years with a salary of 5k.
All the while I was driving my King of the Road Myvi. It is 11 years old now (Fully paid).
It works fine and very economical on fuel and maintenance.
It continues to terrorize road users till this day.

Long story short...
I recently moved to the private sector and was fortunate enough to be offered 10k+.
I am thinking of saying goodbye to my King of the Road.
I have a house loan of RM815 with no other commitment. Single AF.
Certain bank had recently invited me for Priority Banking saying that they could offer lower interest rate on loans.

I wish to seek k/tards advice on the following:
1. With the current climate should I even be thinking about buying a new car? Invest the spare money instead?
2. If yes, what car should I consider? (I think Yaris looks beautiful)
3. I have never driven overseas car before, how much is the maintenance cost for such cars?
4. Is it true that bank can offer lower car loan interest rate? If so how low? Need guarantor nowadays?

The salesman told me that I can't buy any car now as there is no stock release (except for HRV). According to him, Honda will only release their stockpile once the price hike is confirmed.
