Question on purchasing a watch

Hi,

I am a College student who constantly receive a payment from <referral link removed> as I help to share Ads distributed by them. So, I got my own income and was planning to buy a Mido watch for my dad in this coming Father's Day. I emailed the Mido Malaysia customer service and they told me the RPP for M005.430.11.052.00 is RM2780. http://www.mido.my/en/content/m0054301105200

I want to know when can I get discount in any retail shops in KL. When do the watches retail shops usually do promotion? I heard some of my friend said it is the same for promotion or no-promotion prices as they just slightly increase their prices during promotion and giving the consumers a slightly reduced rate.

What is the price I can get for the same watch(http://www.mido.my/en/content/m0054301105200) in SG? What is the price after converted from SGD to MYR?

Thank you.
