Japan will soon be loosening conditions of foreign employment for blue-collar jobs around March/April 2019.

Given the condition below as a blue-collar worker, what are your thoughts or concerns?

Requirement

1. Buy your own flight ticket (at cheaper times, you can likely get Air Asia tickets for approx 700MYR)
2. Visa Fees (unconfirmed, but estimated to be around 800MYR or so)
3. JLPT N4 (more info can be found here https://www.jlpt.jp/e/ )

Remuneration
180k - 250k JPY (Approx 7-9k MYR, minus approx 13% for Tax and Insurance)
Accommodation Provided
Food NOT provided (estimate approx 800(24k/month JPY daily/2 comfortable meals if you don't splurge)

Hope i can get attention here before escalating further.

I had few unused topup lying around, as i am using postpaid i dont see any use for it. Decided to buy steam code using these 2 topup vouchers at link below on 6th Feb

Everything went well on the site, but i recieved sms as follows

"Sorry, we are unable to deliver the Game Code, please call Maxis at 123 for assistance."

Both voucher gave the same issues.

Called 123 and reported this issue about 3 weeks ago, and was told that they need 3-5 days to resolve.

5th day called for a follow up, no news, was told that they will escalate the case.

3-4th call, same, nothing resolved.

5th time calling, nothing resolved but promised will call me back to follow up regardless of status by 28th Feb, till today, no call.

The current meltdown issue explained in layman terms for easier understanding.

With that said, although it wont be impacting most of us homeowners heavily, the fact that this happened itself leaves me feeling a little "what...?". The fix on this, will be on a software level, as what Jay mentioned, it is a "Band-aid" fix as the flaw is on a hardware level where nothing can be done to permanently fix it unless done physically(which is very much impossible and i it wont be as simple as a product recall).

What are your takes on this? Looks like intel will having a rough year ahead.

Normalization / Compressing Dynamic Range

Hey guys, not sure if this is the proper place, as it is audio related and yet slightly technical.

Currently, i do not have any plans to get a 3rd party DAC for the time being. Onboard audio is a Realtek ALC1150, its crap, we all know it haha.

I am pretty sure most of us have this issue, its not that bad but kinda annoying....

Audio played on this PC is from many sources, games/downloaded videos/streams/youtubes/animes/etc etc.

As one can tell, volume output from every source is different(especially youtube/streaming sites, i always have to juggle 30-80% volume). That's where my problem comes in, i can always turn on "Normalize/Loudness Equilization" in the realtek controls or windows playback enhancements. But again, this is why i posted this in Audiophiles, normalization kills audio.

There are alternatives eg:MPC/HC/FFDshow/other plugins in can use for dedicated media players to "compress" dynamic range instead of completely normalize everything, eg; increase min gain/cap out max output).

My main question is, is there any way to do this on the master output itself? is anyone using any sort of modded drivers for the realtek chips?

I'm always active late night to midnight, and i don't enjoy headphones. But the sudden burst of volume gets disturbing at times.
