Hi,

Need your help to clear up some doubts. Kindly take a look on the attached pic.

PC on the right all equip with Wifi card.

A is a network cable (internet accessible) from router 192.168.1.1

B is a AP which i plan to do the following:

- Configure it to accept internet connection from router 192.168.1.1
- Make AP with static IP 192.168.10.1
- Enable DHCP, to broadcast IP to the rest of the network, all started with 192.168.10.*

Are the above implementable? If it's so, will the value below fit the senario? (Value to fill in AP)

IP Address : 192.168.10.1
Subnet Mask : 255.255.0.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
DNS 1 : ISP DNS IP 1
DNS 2 : ISP DNS IP 2

Thanks.

Regards,
Charles

Hi all,

after i'd clone a particular image to several workstation, i'll have to restart once, to rename the machine, and another to join the domain.

I have 2 OS in each newly clone machine, that means i'll have to restart 4 times to get the job done.

If i have 80 of them, then half day gone already.

Any other method can be done to tackle this issue?

Hope you all can share your experience on xp deployment as well.

Regards,
Charlie

Hi,

I'd 2 NIC installed on my workstation,

NIC 1 (Lab) connect to 192.168.1.* subset
NIC 2 (Office) connect to 192.168.10.* subset

Both connection are connected to internet through their own gateway.

The question is, how to make Lab as the default connection to internet?

Whenever a request to access to internet is initiate, the 2nd NIC (Office) will take over the request, i'll like the 1st NIC (Lab) to take over the task.

Thanks.

Regards,
Charlie

.NET GUI

dear all,

i'd created a smart client to access data from microsoft access database. wat i tried to achieve is to fetch data from the db into dataset. To do all the processing on client side and dataadapter.update method is called upon form_close event.

I'd attached the GUI as GUI no 1

allow me to describe the problem i faced.

Process : Entering new record

1 the user click on button new, it'll clear all content inside textboxes and make all textboxes readonly property to false (true by default)

2 the user enter some data (say: ABC123) inside Car No * textbox and felt tat he want to cancel the current operation. he click on cancel

3 wat should i write (in theory) to revert all the changes made before step no 1?
a) currency manager should return to the record exactly be4 the user click on button new.
b) data inside text box should remain the same (be4 the user click on new)as well

to tackle problem 3 b), i tried to include the following method in button cancel click event

1. clear the dataset
2. use data adapter to fill the dataset
3. bind all the control back to the desire properties again

i do think tis is a stupid and expensive process (keep on connecting back to the database, refilling the dataset), just to get rid on 3 b), and it's pretty much against the will of disconnected architecture.

all gurus, pls shed some light here, ty
Dear sirs,

1. i'd created a form with alot of text box and a button.
2. the purpose of tis form is to record the data inside table1 and with the click of the above button, a pre-define report should be printed.
3. a report (named report1) also has been set.
4. i use a macro on the button and set the action to "OpenReport" (directed to report1).
5. the problem is, whenever i click the button, the system will print from the beginning of the record, says record no.1. if the user fill the form till record 9, and he wish to print onli the record 9? instead from record 1 to 9? how to achieve tat? should i don additional stuff on the macro?

any attention is very much appreciated.

thank you.
