went to lowyat today, asked one of the tech guys in it store,

he said he`d recommend to get tp link, aztech and dlink has issues lately with their homeplugs.

well, of course just because he said it i should believe it.

but still i`d ask if you guys have experience handling these brands of homeplugs.

and which one would you suggest.

Format laptop using external drive

good day
im wanted to format my laptop using external drive using USB...my laptop is the old one which used IDE...tried to google but still no luck..anybody can help?

edit add new info

i wanted to boot from external DVD drive which plugged into my usb..coz my laptop dvd drive is not functioning.

in other words, i wanted to format my laptop, except right its using external dvd drive (USB) instead of internal dvd drive.

just for the info, my bios supports boot from usb.

edit new info again

boot->boot from usb->"PXE not found..." bla bla bla (forgot the error msg) -> new error msg "press Ctrl+alt+B to configure" -> error msg again..forgot what it is..

btw, this is the boot sequence

1. boot from usb
2. cd/dvd drive
3. hard drive
4. lan

just one question : can i just copy the files from xp cd to my hard disk (do it from another pc of coz) and boot it from my hd..is it possible?

while i suggest here..easier..hope dis help anyone out there...i still havent try it. but well inform once i manage to format my drive using dis method.
