Just wondering, are there any jobs that crosses boundaries between industries, though might be totally on opposite ends and rare, for eg.:

1) Engineering & Finance
2) Engineering & Biology
3) Engineering & Music

I'm just exploring career choices as an engineer. Tq for your comments.

Car Wrap

I intend to wrap my car hood with car wrap myself, DIY, but I do not have the expertise nor experience to do so.
Is there any sifu out there willing to provide me some tips based on your experience?

Below are some questions to the problems that I might encounter :

1) What kind of car wrap brand or type is suitable for this task? I heard that some low quality car wraps will leva bubbles on the surface when heated up under the sun or leave sticky residues when u remove the car wrap in future.

2) What type or brand of heat gun is better to serve this purpose? There are like more than 10 type of heat guns in the market, each serving different purpose. Very blur on this 1.

3) What other precautions shall I take in order to succeed on my 1st try?

Thank you.

Interest Rate increase

Government has increased the interest rate by 25 basis points.
Whats your opinion on this move by our government?

Government increased petrol price at the beginning of the year which provoked unnecessary inflation, causing prices of consumer goods to rise, Ringgit Malaysia to lose its value. Increasing government tax contributes to this inflation situation as well.

Now that the GDP has been boosted to a level of inflation, that the government is forced to increase interest rate by 25 basis points to curb inflation, and that is a lot.

Do you think this move is correct by pushing their wrongdoings to the consumers?

Laptop Reccommendation

Dear forumers, I would like to ask for your advice regarding laptop choices, as I've never ever owned a laptop before in my life, but due to recent circumstances, I'm forced to purchase 1.

Here are my questions :

1) Which laptop brand is more reliable, as in doesn't breakdown often or overheat or spoils easily due to handling problems? Dell, HP, Toshiba, Asus, Sony, Apple.....

2) What laptop specs or model is more suitable for Autocad and Autocad Revit usage? I presume it requires more emphasize on the graphics and the ram.

3) As it is used primarily for autocad draughting, what monitor size is more suitable? I personally liked it to be the bigger the merrier, but mobility is also an issue, or else, don't even bother considering a laptop, rite?

4) Budget around RM 3-4k, as I don't expect it to be the best there is in the market, just average with more emphasize to draughting works will do.

5) Is it cheaper to buy laptops in Malaysia or Singapore, excluding the transportation expenses factor?

Thanks in advance for the productive information.

It has been quite some time since HTC One X and One V has been launch in Malaysia. However One S has yet to be seen although it is in the same family as the previous 2. Anyone knows what da hell happened which is delaying the launching? Any idea as to when this phone will be launched in Malaysia?

Thank you.

(G S2) vs (HTC One X) vs (G Note) vs (HTC One S)

Calling out to all the above phone users out there.

I'm currently in a dilemma in picking my next phone. All the above phones are good phones, dunno which 1 to pick. Budget is not a prob, and S3 is definitely out coz its very ugly.

Note might be too big to carry around, especially can be hard to fit into jeans.
S2, too common to mention.
HTC One X quadcore, HTC One S duo Core, but Benchmark wise, One S beat One X.

Hard to choose.
