New ADSL2+ Modem Router setup failure

Hello guys, so yesterday I bought a new modem router and tried to set it up. I had double-checked my streamyx ID and password with them and did all the procedures the setup CD had asked me to. I also downloaded and upgraded to the latest firmware.

However, I am unable to connect to the internet using the new modem router, should I replace it with my old one, I can surf the net just fine.

I dunno what's causing the problem... hopefully para sifus here can lend me a helping hand, thanks!

P/S: My home phone is unable to call as it has that buzzing sound when I pressed the call button, dunno if it will affect this in anyway. I am connecting my phone line (wall) to the old modem currently, however.
