[WTA] Using Prepaid SIM on a MIFI / WiFi Modem

Hi, not sure if this has been posted before, but I would like to ask the following:

1. Could I plug in the prepaid card SIM (say UMobile Power Prepaid Pack) into a MIFI / WiFi modem and set it as a hotspot?
2. Following from Q1, could I then set up an Ethernet connection using a wireless router to connect to the MIFI/WiFi modem, and then connecting the router to my device (laptop) via a CAT6 cable?
