[Pre-order] Premium Dress Shirts by T.M. Lewin

GENTLEMEN, I know that you're tired of buying your dress shirts from Uniqlo, Zara, H&M that are thin, do not fit well and do not last
Why not get your shirts from renowned shirtmaker T.M. Lewin?
While they normally sell for RM300-400 in the KL outlet, I am offering to do you all the favor of bringing the shirts back from the land of tea and scones for half of that.

Why should you buy from TM Lewin?
1) AWESOME VALUE FOR MONEY: Shirts normally retail for more than RM300 in Malaysia, you can now get it for basically half price
2) Only a small premium over your basic mall brands...e.g. Uniqlo shirts cost RM129.90
3) Don't look like everyone else who wears Uniqlo, G2000 etc.
4) You will get to choose the color, fit, collar size, length, weave etc.
5) Think of a shirt that receives daily wear as an investment
6) Not only will you look sharper, but your shirts will last longer and you'll have to buy fewer shirts overall

Item(s): T.M. Lewin Dress Shirts

Package includes: Shirts Come in Original Packaging

Price: RM160 Each + Postage (RM10)

Ordering method:

1. Obtain your collar and sleeve measurements. With a simple tape measure, follow the instructions as per this link: How to Measure Yourself
2. Go to TM Lewin UK Website and select your shirt, paying attention to the fit >>> weave >>> colour >>> pattern
3. I would recommend the poplin weave for Malaysian weather due to its breathability
4. Alternatively, go to the TM Lewin KL store and try on the shirts and get a feel of the fabric
5. PM me the shirts you want and put down a deposit of 20% (excluding postage)
6.
Is a Bachelor's Degree from overseas worth it?

Hey guys, so this is a question for both employers and overseas graduates alike. Is an overseas degree worth the cost? Let's say if the university in question is better than any local university but not quite in the top tier, eg. UCL, University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh etc.
Assuming we are taking either engineering or humanities, let's start off with some math:

Case 1: UCL
Tuition Fees - £16,690(Humanities) / £22,380(Engineering)
Cost of Living - £13,520

Total cost for a 3-year humanities degree:
-RM 543,780
And for a 4-year engineering degree:
-RM 861,600

Case 2: University of Edinburgh
Tuition Fees - £16,700(Humanities) / £21,900(Engineering)
Cost of living - £9,500

Total cost for a 3 year humanities degree:
-RM 471,600
And for a 4-year engineering degree:
-RM 753,600

Now if we compare this to say Monash Malaysia, with the cost of a 3-year humanities degree hovering at the RM100,000 mark and a 4-year engineering degree standing at about RM175,000

So the average difference for a 3-year degree is around RM407,000 while the difference for a 4-year degree is around RM632,600. Note that I did not include living cost for studying locally as most of the students can stay with their families.

Assuming that the students studying overseas are to return to work in Malaysia, how much more, realistically speaking, can they expect to make in comparison their locally graduated counterparts? Mathematically, is it a good decision to bare the huge cost of studying overseas? If one is to pay off the extra cost for one's education in 10 years, one has to out-earn his peers by more than RM 3,400 a year or RM 5,200 for 10 straight years, which i do not see as feasible.

Applying to US universities with A-Levels

Hey guys, i plan to head to the states after completing my A-Levels here. I have yet to decide the subjects I would be taking, although it has come to my attention that most universities in the US (like Ivies and equally selective schools) don't specify subjects requirement for A-Levels. I would be majoring in either Engineering or CS so the obvious subject choices would include maths/further maths/cs/physics. However, this would subsequently lead to an increased workload. I don't find this subjects particularly hard and I'm confident in scoring straight A's with some effort. However, I feel that if I took "easier" A-Levels instead, it could free my time for Extra-curricular activities as well as partake in other important things.

So my question is that, does taking softer subjects such as sociology/psychology/literature/economics hurt my chances in any way?

Ipod Nano?

Hey all, im looking to get a new music player and want to get a ipod nano.
But i cant decide on the 5th generation or 6th generation. I probably just want to use it for gym, and on bus/commuters.

Ive done my research and:
5th generation:-click wheel (is it really good?) , easy to control volume, easy to change songs, can watch video
6th generation:-touch, can have playlist, clip, light, small

i can get them at the same price so price does not matter.
And does the 5th generation make it hard to use in gym or running because of size/weight?

Petaling Jaya Basketball Competitions Anyone?

Yo bballers from all over the nation. Anyone knows basketball competitions around Malaysia?
Im in High school and is looking for competitions.
I'm looking for the more "official" competition, if ya know what i mean... like no pickup games, charity cup (dont get me wrong) or some school club competition. We have had plenty of those...

Our school is based in PJ so we participate in the MSSD for our zone but come on, unless you are champs, your school's season ends there?!?! Then there is the High School Basketball League which some say is bigger than the MSSD. I even heard it is like our equivalent of the US High School National Championships. Other than that, there is only the NCBL but...whats that?

All posts are Appreciated.

Truly yours,
Gucci
