Hi Guys,

As the topic suggests, I would like to buy and deliver flower to my GF office on her birthday.

I would like to get her office address without asking her directly, do you guys have any suggestion? I don't want her to expect me sending her flowers by asking her office address. I have thought of asking her friends to get the address for me.

Edited: I know where her company is, but just that I don't know which floor is it

Windows Live Messenger 2010 Problem

Hey guys,

I have a problem here. When I try to open to MSN Messenger, this message pop out,

C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe

The application has failed to start up because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

I tried several to solve this problem. I have googled but it seemed that none of the information I found is useful. I have even uninstalled and installed the whole program.

Anyone here shares the similar problem?

I come across this song when I listen to the radio. I guess this song is quite old... but the problem here is that I don't know what title it is. Some of the lyric are:

Any idea? I must admit my description is quite blur, but I am dying hard to know what song is this. Haha...

I was told that the laptop's keyboard is very vulnerable. So it is advisable to buy an external keyboard to minimise the usage of laptop's keyboard whenever possible, thus prolong the lifespan of the laptop's keyboard.

Hey, guys here, hope that you all would help me.

Earlier I am using Msn Explorer, recently I switch to using IE. However, my favourite websites in Msn Explorer cannot be imported to IE.

Is there a way to do it? I try to search the internet, browse through this forum, but still fail to find a way to do it.

The original one cost me around 1k which I am quite reluctant to buy, too expensive.

But, if you install the pirated software, the microsoft will track down my computer.

Job prospects for engineering student

I think this thread is best posted here since we can hear first-hand experience from those who are in the working world.

For those who are working as engineer, may I know that graduates from which local public university is more marketable especially in the field of mechanical engineering? UM, UTM, USM, UPM? Any idea?

After graduating from local university, do we have the chance to work overseas? How about the prospects for career advancement?

Another question here, anyone heard of industrial engineer? I am quite interested in the curriculum. However, I am quite worry for the job prospect for industrial engineer... Anyone here can enlighten me?

Help in university application needed

Recently I encountered a difficulty in my university application. I were required to state my weakness in the application form. What do you think I should put? Lack of organisational skills, inability to express myself well in words...... all of these are on the negative side which I don't favour to include in my application.

What do you all think? Any weakness that is not good but not too bad either?

What I plan to do here is to state my weakness my and at the same time, I also include the ways to overcome my weakness. However, the application form is more like a fill-in-the-blank style, causes me unable to write too long, only a word or two, meaning I only can state my weakness without any reasoning.

Hope you guys help here. Your help is highly appreciated.

Hey, I have some question here, hope you all will lend me a hand.

I will go to university next year, mostly around June, that means I have 6 months in between. I plan to learn up some programming which will be useful in my education studies. However, when I browse through this forum, there are so many programming links here, left me scratching my head. I don't know where to start.

Mostly I will take up engineering course for my tertiary studies, so which type of programming is most suitable for me as a beginner? Just assume that I know nothing about programming.

I am sure that many of us harbour the hope furthering our studies abroad especially in US where there are countless top notch universities overthere. However, many of us fail to do so not because we are not qualified but due to financial constraint. Therefore, the only way to overcome this problem is through financial aids, scholarships and other ways.

Anyone knows which universties in US is generous to international students by offering financial aids? Please share it here.

So far as i know, there are several need-blind universities in US that offer financial aids to international students, they are:

1)Harvard
2)MIT
3)Princeton
4)Yale
5)Williams

Although these universities do offer financial aids, the admission into these universties is extremely tough. If you dont have any national awards, then just forget about it.

Hence, anyone having any information regarding this issue please post it here. Your contribution is highly appreciated.
