3-way component or co-axial speakers?

Hey I'm running a 2015 Proton Iriz Premium and the ICE is still stock, but now I'm considering to upgrade my whole system.

But here's the thing, I'm planning on installing a pair of 3-way component for the front system, and 3-way coaxial for the rear. And I'm also planning to put in an amplifier for it. And the reason I'm going 3-way is because I don't plan on installing a subwoofer, not even an underseat cause I do need the space underneath 1 of the seat.

My current budget for aforementioned system is around 2k, plus minus a few hundred. But if possible, going lower. I do have a plan to also upgrade my current HU to something with an Android Auto, but that's in the future months to come.

My aim is to have better sound clarity and staging, just enough for me to enjoy and not go crazy competition "grade".

I would like to know what kind of setups would you recommend me go for and any recommendations of models and brands? I'm planning on installing it all by myself.
Best 150cc scooter?

So I am currently in the market for a 150cc scooter and am currently eyeing the Yamaha Nmax V2, mainly for the looks and ergonomics. But the thing about it is that it doesn't hav ABS, which is confusing, considering that the NVX V2 comes with ABS option. And the latter also comes with Y-Connect, which is also a plus.

So I would like to know what other options is available in the market for a 150cc scooters other than these 2 or the Honda PCX and the Honda 150 Adv? Pricing below rm14k (I'm in Borneo).

Preferably something that comes with ABS and has a large underseat storage that could fit a full size helmet. I'm gonna be mainly do city rides, with occasional long tours (twisty mountain roads with uneven pavement) so a plush seat + good suspension setup is a huge plus.

Thanks!

Advice on How to Persuade for Fiber Connection

A little backstory first.

I'm currently living in a flat in Putatan, Sabah. Its been 15 years that I lived here and the max internet speed available here is only 4Mbps via Streamyx. My location is only a mere 15KM from city center of Kota Kinabalu, and mere 5KM to KKIA. My house is even near the main road, approx around 400 meters only.

I had asked multiple times from Unifi since they introduced them in 2014 if I'm not mistaken when will I be getting the connection. They always say they are on their way to install it in my area. And since late 2018, the whole housing area (landed properties) around my house has gotten fiber connection, whereas my house, which literally sits right in the middle of the neighborhood, has gotten NONE.

Upon further questioning, I found out that Unifi had already plan to lay down the fiber connection for our 2 4-stories flat units but the management wouldn't allow it. I am seriously furious because when I asked the manager responsible for our place, he didn't give me any answer at all. He just plainly avoids it.

So my question is what can I do to force the management to allow Unifi to lay down their fiber cable in our units? Signed petitions was done and handed to the management last year but it fell on deaf ears. Unifi had told me they can't enter unless with consent from the management themselves. Is there any law that I can use to our advantage to force the management to give way? Or is there another way so that Unifi can just enter?

PS : my work right now heavily relies on a stable internet connection. I do have Maxis prepaid and Digi Infinite150 right now monthly, but during congested hours, sometimes I can't even open up a PDF file without taking a few minutes for it to get download. Though during non-peak hours, I do get an upwards of up to 10MBps for both my Digi and Maxis, but it is a hassle both to me and my clients to wait til night time to get our job done.

CPU Speed Lower than Base Speed, 1 Core Unstable

Hey guys, I had trouble getting to overclock Ryzen 5 1600X. Granted, mine is not the golden chip sample because I can't even go more than 3.9 without having to put 1.45 on Vcore. I am very new to the whole overclocking community, so it would help tremendously if someone could guide me and point out to me what is wrong with my settings.

And as I specified in the title, 2 of my cores are unstable. When I tested a few times using Cinebench, CPU usage was 100% with all cores and threads fully utilize. But when I stress test it using Prime95, after around 15 minutes, 2 of the threads shows irregularity as shown in the picture. I thought it was only a temporary problem so I ignored it and let it run.

[attachmentid=10097763]

Here are my specs:
CPU : Ryzen 5 1600X 3.85GHz @ 1.4Vcore
MOBO : ASUS X370 Crosshair VI Hero bios 6201
RAM : G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (8GBx4) @ 2933MHz
Cooler : ML MasterLiquid 120
GPU : Galax GTX 1060 6GB OC
PSU : Segotep GP700G FM

Just for the record, apart from the CPU speed, Vcore and RAM speed, I did not temper with any other settings.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I didn't plug in the 4 pins additional CPU cable to the mobo because my PSU just doesn't have it. Anyone can confirm for me if this could be one of the reason why I couldn't get my OC to stabilize?

Thanks!!

6pins on GPU to 8pins on PSU PCIE

I built my very first gaming PC last December and I have very low knowledge at the time to know how to do things properly so made a mistake that is quite basic, but stupid.

I bought a GTX 1060 6GB that only requires a 6pins connectors, but I bought my PSU that only provides 8pins PCIE connectors. Its not a problem, however, because the PSU itself is fully modular so I don't have to worry to much about it. For now, the way I power up the GPU is through buying a cable extensions; a 6pins PCIE connector at one end, while the other end is a SATA power drive connector, which is then connected to ANOTHER SATA power drive connector directly to the PSU itself.

The problem right now is that I wanted to do custom mod on my rig such as custom cable sleevings and I was wondering if there is any way for me to make a custom 6pins-to-8pins PCIE connector, to get a clean look without wasting the space on my PSU itself. Meaning that I can actually use the PCIE port directly.

And what are the pins on 6 pins connectors VS the 8 pins connectors itself? Which is the earthing cable, which is the power cable?

I am just starting on modding my own PC so any advice that anyone can give is highly appreciated. Thanks!!

Here's a pic of it from the side without side panel on. Its a cluster of a mess isn't it
[attachmentid=9532767]

And this is a picture of it with the side panel on. I wanted to add RGB strip in it as a final touch later on, that is why I wanted to do a better cable management mod before I put in any more lighting effects in it.
[attachmentid=9532769]

Internet Got Disconnected RANDOMLY

I currently own the default Streamyx provided modem for over 3 years now and I think it is starting to act up. It would disconnect and reconnect at any given time without any tell-tale warning whatsoever eg speeds dropping. At first I thought it was the internet provider's fault that I would often get disconnected while surfing the web. But after a few search on the internet and asking a friend, they said that it is most probably my modem/router's fault that my connection keeps dropping.

I need a suggestion on what should I do. I am currently on Streamy'x Package Plan of 4Mbps and was thinking of upgrading to 8Mbps in the near future. There is still no news whatsoever regarding availability for Unifi at my place, and whenever I ask it is always "we do have a plan so you just have to be patient and wait" or somewhere along the line kind of bullsh*t; the same kind of answer that I got since end of 2016.

What do you guys think? Is it the modem's problem? Or is it the internet service provider's problem? And if it is just a modem problem, what replacement would you suggest me buying?

BTW I am using a LAN connection most of the time on my PC.

Keyboard Not Typing Correctly

Guys I need some help. I own an MSI GX60 2013 Hitman Edition and it has been down for quite a while and recently, I decided to take it to a service center (just a random one, not the official MSI service center) and was told that the problem with my laptop was the motherboard and suggested that I just sell it to them.

Here's the problem though, my reason for sending it was because whenever I typed in any characters on the keyboard, it came out wrongly. For example, I could type the alphabet "d" but it will come out as one of the function keys (f1 to f12). My whole keyboard is a mess, none of it is functioning correctly anymore. The other problem was my battery had died (or so I think). My laptop could no longer detect the battery, whether it is connected to the AC charger or not.

I need some expert help on this matter because I honestly feel as if the shop is not being honest. Any gurus here that can shed their insights of the problem with my laptop is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Soundproofing a Car

I would like to know for a car like the Iriz, how much square feet of sound insulator mat (like the Dynamat) would it needed to cover the whole car? I wanted to soundproof it from top to bottom in 1 layer, while the wheel well area would get double layer.

I was thinking of changing my stock speakers first before, but after few consideration I thought that it would be more prudent to actually soundproof it first and foremost, since the NVH of my car is considerably high (in my own opinion).

Adding Amplifier to Stock Unit

I have a serious question here, will my sound improve if I were to just add an amplifier to my ICE? I drive a Proton Iriz 1.6 Premium and all the HU and speakers (4 of it, all factory setting and at the door)?

I need advice cause I'm very new in this. I just want a better sound from my car while playing music, not the competition level ones.

The stock speakers are actually not that bad, and still functions perfectly.
Song List Suggestions Please

Can anyone suggest me songs from these genres? I wanted to make a new playlist for my car when I'm driving and I am looking into Jazz and Blues and any sorts of relaxing and lite music. Even orchestra is preferable.

I've had enough of loud banging music for now, it only pumps my blood and makes me have a road rage, especially in traffic jams. So might as well change the environment into one that is soothing and relaxing.

My Laptop Won't Load!

I'm using MSI GX60 laptop. All was fine until I think some virus got into my system and now when I turn on my laptop its a Linux system. I'm running a Windows 8.1 and never had any problem. I even overclocked it before and all was fine. I overclocked it using AMD Overdrive.

I tried using the F3 hotkey for recovery function but to no avail. When I try refreshing it it says "The drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." When I try to reset it to factory settings it says that it is unable to reset because the required drive partition is missing.

Another thing to note is that the hard disk LED light is on all the time. It doesn't blink, and it stays on while I think it doesn't turn because my laptop is too quiet. Before it couldn't even being turn on, I checked in Windows Task Manager while it was still working that my hard disk's active time is 100% all the time but 0% on read or write. The screen frozed and it took quite some time (maybe around 1-2 hours) for me to get back on my computer.

I brought it to the store where I bought the laptop and ask them to help. They said they already removed the virus altogether but its not even a week yet and the same thing repeats itself again.

I really desperately need some help now. I need to know how to do a hard reformat on this. And I really need to know whether or not this will affect my hard disk or not. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Windows Can't Detect My External HDD

I own a Seagate Expansion external HDD for a few months now. Everything was working fine until recently. Windows can't seem to detect my external HDD, it only detects the USB shown as -Raptor 2.5" USB 3.0- and nothing else. Here's a brief of what's happening with my HDD.

- The problem started with when my computer shuts down itself while I was doing a file transfer.
- No sound is coming from the external - the fan is not working. (I guess)
- Light illuminates on the HDD.
- In the Computer Management it detects my HDD as 'Seagate Portable USB Device', but when I look into the properties under Volumes it shows that "Type = Unknown". Even in My Computer it doesn't shows up.
- Tried with another PC/laptop/OS but none of it works. Still undetectable.
- Tried giving it a little tap (who knows the disc might start spinning again) but no result.

I need an expert's help here. There are tons of important files inside my external and by hook or by crook I must retrieve all those files. Thanks.
