Some criticism on Guild Wars 2

This going to start bad, but every game got it.

Before you bash me, to those who frequent the GW2 thread knows that I usually frequent this subforum and sing praises about this game (in fact, I still do!). Also, I am level 22, just finished Caledon Forest and making one profession to be on-par with the next zone, so I am still only 8% through the world.

My beef with the game, at the moment:

1) Bugged Ranger skill ---> Shortbow Skill 3. It is not as fluent as it was used to. Camera jerked between my original position and my new position. This skill is an escape skill, so the movement needs to be as smooth as possible.

2) TRADING POST!!! ---> no need to elaborate.

3) Scaling down is "somewhat" a myth. ---> The stats from your equipment doesn't seem to scale down. It is unconfirmed, but I got an anecdotal example. When I go into Queensdale, I practically raped everything, well except the group stuffs, that is in the starting area. That makes me sad a bit on the inside.

4) Since the game emphasizes the need for visual reference, it can be hard to do that if all the particle effects started flying in. Especially the mob is not as big as Shadow Behemoth. This is mostly true for the melee, who needs to know when to dodge the stuffs.

5) That being said, if the mob is as big as Shadow Behemoth, it can be hard to see what's the mob is actually doing.

6) Finally, the visual red clue for AoE is not so visible on the big-mob events.

There... now the cats out of the bag. Let's see if others have some critic on this game. (particularly those who wants to sell the account)

/endrant luls

Quote BB Code borked?

I have made a post that have plenty of quotes. However, it seems the quote BB code is now properly parsed. Testing with the supplied buttons in the posting page doesn't work.

It does work elsewhere though (tested it here, does work)

Even direct link to the post doesn't work and it shows the last post of the thread

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=51654588

--- found the problem. A double closing code makes it all go gaga

Example:-
[quote]hello world![/quote]

[quote]goodbye cruel world![/quote]

[/quote]

[quote]hello again![/quote]

PS: sorry bout that, my eyes needs checking out.
