Hello,

I want to buy, but don't know where to buy. I'm hoping for a RM400k apartment/condo that I can keep for a few years (or still in building phase) and then sell, or something that I can rent out. I don't mind any in Penang island, or mainland, or in KL/PJ (but I think it's over my budget).

Basically, am new to this market, so I need some help to get it kick started. Any mentors around?

Wife delivering in Malaysia without insurance

Sad but true, we have both migrated to Australia, but she was recently back in Malaysia for a visit, and was admitted due to complications. Doctor is saying that she can't travel now, so she will be delivering in Malaysia. However, we do not have any insurance in Malaysia, and the insurance that we have in Australia doesn't cover overseas.

What can I do? How can I get at least part of the costs covered? Please help. Thanks!

Partnership Question on Investment and % Share

I'm in a situation right now, and I need some answers. Hopefully experienced business owners can help

Basically, I shared my idea with person A. He likes my idea, and wants to work it out with me. I then worked on the project management side of the project, setting up timeline, identifying major and minor tasks, listing out roles, calculating estimated income, expenses, and profit, etc. Person A worked on the business plan with my input. From there, he helped to work on a few roles, like legal, finance and marketing, while I worked on human resource, technology and creative. The core of the business is creativity.

So, to start the business, we need investment. Both of us worked on getting the investment. I tried, and failed. He tried, and failed. In the end, he's planning to get a bank loan with his house as a security. So he's bringing in the full capital.

What should the % of share be like? Initially, we agreed 50:50, but now, because of the bank loan with his house as a security, he wants more %.

What ya think?

I have been told that because he is bringing 100% of the capital, he should have 100% share.

Income Tax Filing for a Sole Proprietor

I have some questions regarding income tax filing for a sole proprietor. Firstly, I don't work other than running my own small business which is registered as a sole proprietorship. I draw a monthly salary of RM1500. My small business doesn't make much. When do I file income tax? April 30th or June 30th?

Also, side question, my wife is a housewife, and she doesn't earn. Does she need to file income tax?

Both of us worked before so we have history filing income tax.

Details of the complaint :

sHawTY wants to report me for late shipment. Since he hasn't reported me here, I thought I'd do it so that the case is open, and transparent.

Basically, I sent the RAMs a day late. My fault. So the following day (yesterday), I sent it, took a photo of the PosLaju tracking number, and sent it to him. Today, he accused me of a bogus tracking number, want to file a dispute here, and want to report me to the police. I'm fine with that knowing that PosLaju can be slow, not 100% working, etc. Time will tell if his accusations are correct, or if I'm bogus too.

So ya, that's all.

Noob Questions about Government Project

I was invited to quote the government on a project. However, I'm inexperience. Firstly, my company is a Sole Proprietary. It's not even a Sdn Bhd. I'm also not registered with Kementerian Kewangan with Kod Bidang or even as Kontract Bumiputera. There's also a Struktur Modal Syarikat term that I don't understand. Anyone care to share some experience?

Hello,

I'm a first time seller, selling my first property. Agent just confirmed that buyer will pay what I desire. Tomorrow the buyer will bank in 1% as deposit. I'm fine with that amount although I know some ask for 2% or even 3%, right? Okay, once that's done, what happens next?

My bank loan is still in the lock-in period. When do I inform my bank about the sale? Do I need to inform the lawyer who helped me with the purchase (4 years ago)?

Any other tips would be helpful to me, and others reading this.

Anyone who owns or has a friend who owns Old Town White Coffee knows how many people patronize the restaurant per day? What about Secret Recipe? Seoul Garden, Sakae Sushi, etc? Anyone care to give a rough estimate?
