water leakage help

I have water leakage in my toilet and I have been figuring out how to fix this, can anyone with plumbing experience share some tips? I will buy some parts to replace if necessary.

Need recommendation for monitor

Hi all,

I’ve been using an old monitor from dell ultrasharp series since
2015 until today and is now thinking for an upgrade, there is a stark difference in terms of display sharpness, color and etc when I hook up my X1 gen12 laptop to the monitor and it is such an eyesore to me lol.

I am going to use this monitor mainly for work (will attach this monitor with lenovo docking soon), surfing the internet and youtube.

Can you all recommend me a few models that you think worth investing in? I kinda trust Dell monitor since it lasted me 10years now 😂

AES summon question

Hi friends,

I unfortunately got my very first AES summon after many many many years of driving and would like to ask for anyone's advises to getting this sorted out.

1. If I make full payment, do I still need to attend court? If yes, what is the best way to make payment?
2. JPJ only sent me the love letter after a year and I realized I have like 5 copies of AES summons on multiple dates early and late last year after I have checked the JPJ app via mobile.

I know a wrong is a wrong but of all my summons, I only drove slightly higher than the speed limit. (Eg: 110km, I drove 120km)

MyEG driving license renewal question

Hi guys,

I was trying to take advantage of the 10 years driving license renewal announced by Anthony recently and logged into MyEG for renewal but noticed that the renewal up to 5 years is only available in the online portal.

Are they in the process of updating it or I need to go over to JPJ or Poslaju office for the renewal?

Also, my license is expiring on 2025, what happens to the additional 2 years if I were to renew now?

ASUS routers recommendation

Hi all,

I wanted to get a new router for my TIME internet as the coverage in my condo is not as good, the line kept getting disconnected in the masterbedroom. The router is located in my living room and currently i'm using their free router and modem, the one given 5 years ago.

I've browsed the ASUS routers in the link below and I'm unsure which one would fit me best.

Do we still need the separate modem apart from the router if I were to get this new device or this ASUS router technically has combined both model and router in one?

1. I'm using just 100Mbps subscription from TIME.
2. Light user, just normal internet browsing, working laptop, netflix, etc. (rarely gaming these days)
3. Need wider coverage for a 1200sqft condo with concrete walls in all rooms

I have a long lost relative that I am keen to check, the only information I have is his IC number but I think its the old gen ones that starts with "46xxxxx" (with 7 digits only)

Water wastage report

Anyone know to which government agency we can report to if we suspect our neighbour is wasting water. the thing is that this unit has been rented to a company, and their employees occasionally came in and have turned on the water everywhere and then left the unit for a couple of weeks without turning off the water.

The sound of the water is very distracting and loud.

Ive spoken to management once and they have switched off their water, now that they've been back again and the water wastage is happening again.

Management help may only works for short term but I'm thinking if local council can help with this to prevent this from happening again.

General car servicing question

Hi bros,

I've been driving my secondary car for close to 6 years and the warranty has since lapsed. With this, I'm planning to visit the mechanic outside for general servicing like changing engine oil, brake oil, etc.

The thing is I rarely visit these 3rd party foremen for servicing and I normally follow the maintenance book from Honda and I am unsure what I should tell the foremen when I reached there. I don't want to appear clueless and taken advantage by them.

Can you share with me what I should be asking normally for a general servicing?

iPhone backup strategy inputs

Hi guys,

I've recently encountered a 3 days worth of data loss in my primary mobile which was iPhone11 due to an accident, after which I have upgraded it to iPhone 14 earlier this week.

The data loss incident has affected us despite subscribing to iCloud 2TB for myself and my wife for years. I suspect that during travelling, sometimes I did not connect to the hotel wifi and just utilized my 4g data. As far as I know, the criteria of iOS for the automated iCloud backup is to ensure the phone is on charging mode, connected to wifi and screen switched off. Basically what you normally does before you sleep but I have not fulfilled all the criteria hence the gap on the backup.

This incident has left me shaken and stress losing some of the very important memory and data especially from whatsapp which I am still trying to recover some of it via a recovery software tool online.

I have been thinking to re-strategize my backup strategy but I am unsure what I am planning to do is workable hence I am seeking for the seniors experience and kind advice so that I don't encounter such a stressful incident again.

I have two iPhones today,

1. iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB capacity (Primary phone) - all the photos are on "original mode" as there are plenty of capacity with the new phone
2. iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB capacity (Secondary phone) - all the photos are on "optimize mode" as there phone cannot contain all the pictures due to max capacity

Can I backup both of these phones to iCloud simultaneously? Will the backup supersede one another? As in iPhone 11 will supersede iPhone 14 backup and vice versa? I don't want to encounter a situation whereby if I were to restore my iPhone 14 and it restores the iPhone 11 backup for me which is going to be disastrous.

Also, what is the best way to backup whatsapp together with iCloud? I normally turn on daily backup for whatsapp but how does the whatsapp backup correlates with the iCloud? Do i need to backup iCloud manually then backup the whatsapp manually?

Any other tips for a better and efficient backup plans with two iPhones?

Whatsapp backup and restoration question

Hi all,

I dropped my iphone earlier this week and the phone has basically bricked and resulted in some data loss. Luckily I did subscribed to icloud but still, i didnt manage to backup all the up-to-date data to the cloud intime.

I bought a new phone the day after and managed to recovered almost 90% of the data via icloud but unfortunately some of my whatsapp messages could not be retrieved and is showing the error as below screenshot.

Few days later, my old phone miraculously worked again and i quickly sync everything such as photos and it worked flawlessly, the old pictures does sync up to the new phone as well but then the new phone is having problem restoring the old whatsapp messages from my old phone.

Anyone know what can i do to restore or basically sync up all the old whatsapp messages from my old phone to the new phone?

I tried googling but most of the answers are pretty generic...

I'm not a luxury watch collector but is looking to get one for my wedding end of this year and probably going to collect more as time goes by.

There are multiple brands in the market like rolex, omega, tudor, you name it... I know rolex are very hard to get these days with people snatching up the datejust in an instant.

I like omega watches as it looks modern for a guy in his early 30s.

What's your thought on this, my budget is around RM30-40k max.
