Planning an Animal Adoption Drive

Hi All,

I am not sure if its appropriate to post this here as i cant seems to find a suitable sub forum to post this.

Let me introduce myself,

I am from a event management company and we are actively involved in bazaars/flea markets.

I would like to ask if there is anybody who would be interested to participate in adoption drive organised by us?there will be ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE AT ALL.Although we organised bazaars/flea markets. This event will be 100% adoption drive only.

My company will sponsor every single thing needed for this event (canopies,fans,tables,chairs and drinks ) for participants and flyers for promotion. But we will need volunteers from LYN to help with flyers distribution as well.

Being a pet lover myself,i truly hope that i can get support from members here for this event.This event wil be fully sponsored by my company.We wont be asking even a single cent from participants or visitors.

Here is a brief details.(we will need enough participants to materialise this event)

Venue : Jaya One PJ
Date : 17 April 2010
Time : 10am-5pm.
types of adoption: dogs,cats,hamsters,reptiles.Adoption fees may be charged by owner but we hope that it will be very minimal.

It is also important that we try our best to educate the public.

Here is what we need from LYN members: bring along your pets that is up for adoption to this venue,be there from 10am-5pm to help out.However,i will need adequate participations to make this happen!

Would like to know what everybody thinks.

We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with MAA-MEDIcare Kidney Charity Fund for our upcoming Summit Flea Market.

Some info on the charity organization:

MAA-MEDIcare is a wholly not-for-profit public trust fund which depends entirely on contributions from the general public for fund raising activities. The fund does not receive any assistance from the government, but instead works with corporations, the media and individuals. The Fundraising Department at the Secretariat sets specific fundraising targets every year and strives to increase the number of donors to sustain rising operational costs.

Enspired Events pledges to contribute 10% gross income of every booth rented out for the Summit Flea Market to this charity fund, commencing this Monday, 15 June 2009.

First of all, this bazaar is situated strategically in a high/densely populated area--in the heart of Subang. The Summit. This means:
: Fully air conditioned! [away from the merciless sun and no exposure to haze]
: Wash rooms! [not those crampy ones]
: And basically everything you'd find in a mall--lifts,ATMs, elevators, trolleys, storage room, power cords, etc.

In addition to that, The Summit recently had a management change and it ain't a dead mall any longer--normal shops + eateries + various entertainment. Being situated in the heart of Subang (and also very close to 3K inn which is the most popular bazaar), the crowd is already there to tap into. It is not out of the way, it is not situated in a deserted area, and more importantly, it is relatively close by to other shopping malls (sunway pyramid!)--making it a convenient stop for any visitor.

Also, unlike the previous bazaars, there will be actual promotional activies going on besides just online announcements. 100,000 coloured flyers will be distributed around the vicinity of Subang Jaya from now till July. Posters will be set up around the mall, roadside buntings will be posted up, and coverage in: local newspapers, tongue in chic, cheeserland, your shopping kaki, and other review sites. I would like to invite you to be part of our Summit Flea Market. This flea market will be held every Saturday and Sunday beginning July 2009, and we are leasing space to vendors who are interested to sell/promote their items/services in the Subang Jaya vicinity.

A few of problems I’ve identified that vendors face during flea markets are such as bad weather, poor crowd, costly rent and troublesome clean up. Hence, we at Enspired Events have come up with solutions to address those setbacks faced by vendors. By renting at least 3 weekends with us, you’ll be entitled to have one weekend (2 days) free of rental charges with the average price of RM56.25 per day.
