Bachelor Degree of Arts Translation & Interpretation

I live in Penang,does anyone know where can i apply this field of study? I have already asked to USM(UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA),but they told me that i need at least STPM or any DIPLOMA equivalent certificates to be qualify to study at USM.

My problems are,i don't have those certificates,but I do have SPM, JLPT4,3,2 and ESOL (both are foreign languages) certificates,are those certs recognise as DIPLOMA by Malaysia's Educations System?or some what they call it MQA ?

Please fill me in more informations about this field of study and the requirements to study further on this field ,as well as any college,learning centre that provides Translations and Interpretations course too.Thanks u guys in advance.
