Trying to slim down and gain muscles

Hi...

I'm new to all these fitness stuffs but I want to get in shape and since I started working, i can finally afford to pay for a gym membership.

I'm 183cm tall and i weigh around 100kg now. Its been 2 to 3 months since i joined Fitness First near my office at Menara Axis.

Usually i'll go for gym classes since i find them a lot more fun and it motivates me more, but i join RPM, BodyCombat, BodyPump, and BodyJam more often than lifting weights on my own. Especially RPM, i love it and i usually go for at least three classes a week.

I tried lifting weights, but i cant really do any of the workouts properly. For example, i cant do bench presses properly as i always feel sore on my arms instead of my chest. As for arms, i can lift only light weights but it doesnt benefit much and not much progress.

My diet is very much off, coz my work place serves mostly malay food and my lunch hour is only 45mins long, doesnt give me any freedom to find healthy food. My dinner usually ends up at night after gym sessions.

Would really appreciate some advice to kick start my journey...

Confused E&E Fresh Grad

I'm an E&E fresh grad. I finished my degree last year during mid Oct and I got a job in the aircond industry as a service engineer.

The first week here, i was confused, lost, my boss wasnt around and i wasnt sure what to do. After the torturous one week finding my way, my boss came back and talked to me.

Being assigned to the parts warehouse, i was asked to observe the operations of the warehouse and the service department. I saw lots of politics, bad work ethics, and a huge variance in the stock tally.

I talked to my boss about my findings after 2 weeks and my boss sat me down and talked to me. According to him, he agrees with my observation and shared with me some of his own findings. He plans to train me up to take up some managerial tasks instead of engineering work.

My manager is great, he and the company GM is like the best manager in the company, he taught me a lot, but I still feel unhappy. I have a good starting pay of 2.7k even during my probation.

Its the last day of my probation today and I'm still very confused. Previously i had tried to resign 3 TIMES. First my manager talked me out, next my HR, then even the GM came to talk to me during the 3rd attempt.

I'm not sure what i want. I feel like i havent been giving myself a proper rest after 4 years of harsh university life (trust me its bad) and I feel like i want a job that doesnt require me to fight with others, or to pickup whatever shit that the previous management left for me. So far during the 3 months i dont feel productive at all.

I'm lost, i dont know if i should take the chance now to resign ( 1 day notice only) and rest until end of cny then continue fighting for a new job instead, or work this job out for the next 1 or 2 years.

DVD into .avi or .mpg

Hi. I've been wondering how to rip DVD videos into either .avi or .mpg format. But i'm a complete newbie into all these ripping stuffs. I've tried some of the guides but i didn't understand it.

I'm trying to rip a dvd i borrowed from my cousin which is not protected and it has different chapters. I used AutoGK but i can't find out how to split all those video into their particular chapters. I also seen softwares like SmartRipper but i dun understand how it works either...

Hope someone can help me and guide me through this.... Thx

Hi. I'm using Norton Antivirus 2007 and i have been getting a lot of those annoying intrusion alert from it. Sometimes when i'm playing games, it will cause the game to minimize.
Can someone teach me how to disable it without affecting the functionality??

can't use my desktop

When i turned on my computer, i tried to click on some icon on my desktop but there's no response from it, i can't even right click on the desktop. Everything except for those on my desktop is normal.
As is there's a blanket covering my desktop blocking me from accessing the desktop and those on it.
Can someone help me with this? Could it be a virus?

Hi.
On Friday i was surfing the net until my computer suddenly hanged so i pushed the reset button after a long time of waiting. When i turn back on, i try to logon to my user account but then b4 i reach the desktop, the computer hanged again. Each time i try to logon to my user account it happens but when i use my dad's account its fine. I wanted to retrieve some files from my user account since my account was protected with a password and i made all my files private so no access from other user profiles.

Yesterday night i tried using Linux to access my HDD but eventually i did something that i didn't realise and caused some problem. Each time i on my pc i the following msg would appear
"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media..."
i searched for ways to repair it but i ended up reinstalling windows without formating since there's still a lot of important stuffs in my pc.

Now i still can see my profile name in the C:\Documents and Settings folder but i can't access my previous user account folder to retrieve files in "My Documents"
It shows "Access Denied" everytime i try to open it.

So can someone pls help me? Any ways to access that folder with softwares of watever tweaks there is in the market? I dun mind tweaking around since i'll b formating my comp after backing up all the data i need.
