Fail to update ATi driver

I'm using Dell Studio XPS 1640 with mobility radeon hd4670 inside,
i go to download the latest catalyst driver from AMD website,
and use the mobility modder to mod it,
but it failed to update the graphic driver which is 8.690 for 8.632,
need help please

I got this laptop for 3 years ++,
now the monitor almost like want to loose out,
few keyboards button(b,n,space,left) cannot function anymore too
the battery cannot charge already too

so i need to fix it or any suggestion?

I need to install Ati software on my laptop xps 1640 which just upgrade from vista,
i download the things from dell website, so i need to install it at program files or the x86 program files?
btw, there is already a Ati folder in the x86 program files

External Harddisk Problem

I got a 200GB external hardisk here, it work normally for several months already but since last time i plug into my laptop, it does not recognized by my laptop but a sound that harddisk detected "de-dunk" came out. And the power light on the external harddisk is on and lighted and i can feel the drive is spinning too. I also tried it on my desktop but the result is same... I also trying using another USB cable but also failed... How can i fix it? Please help me, thank you.
