hello there.. i dont know whats the problem actually, but my laptop after 4-5 hours of usage. i just cant use the internet anymore, open the google or mozila cant display web page.

the connection is still connected because if i still have download at that time,the download is still running, but i cant surf.

the only way to solve it is to restart. but im getting of tired to restart every 4-5 hours. huhu

any idea what could be the problem?

btw i dont know whether its the router problem but all my friends seems ok. =.=

Laptop: dell Inspiron 1440 (almost 3 years old)

1-LCD screen does not turned on on start up (screen stays black)

2-Power button is white/on (as usual)

3-Cooling Fan works normally

4-USB devices works (e.g red light coming from the mouse is on)

5-Attempt to connect laptop to a working display unit (using VGA output): no signal on the other display unit.

6-No Sound from the laptop speaker (e.g no windows start up sound, even after several minutes)

7-Attempt to unplug external HD, mouse, etc... : no change (screen stays black on startup)

8-Attempt to start laptop on battery only (as well as on power cord only): no change

9-Attempt to unplug-replug rams: screen stays black (additionally, I can hear 2 short beeps, 10 secs after power on)

10-Attempt to switch rams with one from an acer laptop: no change on my dell (black screen + 2 short beeps) - acer laptop works normally.

11-Attempt to power on without any rams on my dell: still black screen + 2 longer/louder beeps, immediately after power on. (i'm not sure if this is relevant)

12-Put back the original rams back onto my laptop.... I don't know what to do next...

last this i did is restart the laptop then the bios is not appear. could it be my graphic card fried?

hello guys.. i have a dell inspiron 1440 laptop. i have a problem when i start my laptop,screen just blank and after 10 sec like that,2 beep sound. could it be a hardware problem like video card or sumthing because i have tried to change my ram and nothing happen. huhu.. =.=
