soundbar or studio monitors to use with pc?

Hi. I'm looking to replace my old altec lansing atp3 speaker for a better sounding set of speakers. I see that there are a lot of soundbars on the market in Malaysia. but mostly are advertised to use with TV's, mobile device etc. I wonder if I can use those soundbar for pcs? I'm eyeing a simple Sony HT-CT80. its Bluetooth enabled. I cant find any other soundbar for pc except the creative katana but that's above my budget and not commonly available. budget around Rm700. also eyeing Yamaha YAS-107. If they can be use with pc via optical(soundcard got spdif), bluetooth, rca or 3.5 jack im all in.

or should I get a pair of Studio monitors or Bookshelf speakers?

any recoomendation and helps appreciated
Need help to improve headphone/pc speakers sound

Hello. I'm new to audiophiles world. I recently bought a Sony phone with Hi-Res audio and sony headphones with hi-res audio as well. However I only notice great sound quality if the hi-res headphones is paired up with Sony Xperia phone with Hi-res audio support. When I try the sony headphones on my pc via onboard Realtek soundcard it doesn't sound as nice as I paired it with my sony phone and headphone. But still a lot of improvements though than normal headphones. I wish I can get the hi-res lossless quality on pc as well as I listen to audios on pc.
My speaker is old altec lansing atp3 speakers. Still good for normal usage.

My question. Is there a way to boost sound quality on my pc system? Mostly for music listening and movies. I have been told about few thing 1)1)

1)-replacing my sound card with other such as xonar or other soundcard for improvement.
2) get a dac and amp for headphones
3) use audio interface.

I would appreciate any suggestion and help. I'm not sure which I should do to improve the sound quality. Thank you.

are the new nokia phones tough?

I'm looking for a phone. Just suddenly saw this videos on youtube about the nokia 6 drop test. Seems like nokia 6 nokia 8 and the latest model are really built tough. The performance doesn't seem special looks like other mediocre smartphones. Has anyone else tested? Is the latest nokia smartphones stronger and durable than other smarthphones as they say? Please share. Thanks

Can Tm block Torrent on UNIFI?

Hello. I recently, honestly told someone via email at a software company in Malaysia that I'm using a pirated software of which I wanted to buy. I actually had the intention to purchase the software which cos rm2000-rm3000 from the company which is a reseller I think. After telling about that,1-2 days after my torrent is all not working. I don't torrent that much, only which I want to download. Is it possible that this guy report to TM that I'm torrenting and block all torrent access on my computer?

Thank you

Improving Chinese reading for Gaming

Hello sifus. about myself. I'm a casual gamer. and do pvp in games regularly sometimes good sometimes bad.

As you all know since the past few years there have been many Asian online games popping up like mushrooms and they are getting better and better graphically, music-wise and in-terms of performance. I have always wanted to play Asian games Chinese/Japanese mostly but the language barrier is always there. I am English-educated person and I know basic Chinese for very simple conversation/understanding and reading. However my knowledge of Japanese is near 0.

I have been improving my Chinese(especially reading) casually on my own since last year, progress is there, albeit a bit slow probably because I haven't put that much effort. I have decided I want to get into Asian mmo and other type of games and improve my Chinese reading so I can understand the game and chats like I do in English mmos and games.

Just want some input, what level HSK is generally needed to reach for someone to play and understand Asian Chinese games?
What methods do you use to help understand the Chinese letters that you cannot figure out in-game?

These are games without English translation-patch. And I suspect many upcoming Asian mmo and games would not have English-patch at all. Game like Moonlight Blade cannot have English-patch because of coding from Tencent so I have heard. And game like Justice online https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vq7PMkKHkM is too awesome to be missed. Not to mention that we SEA residents will have better latency.

So that's it about me. Any help and recommendation is welcome.

Thank you

hello Sifus. I'm seeking for cheap VR experience since real VR is still relatively expensive, new, and abit inaccessible here in Malaysia. Would be using and android phone with probably some cheap VR headset like google cardboard or VR box( or you guys can recommend me a good one?) for my foray into VR experience.

So what suggestion for a good VR android phone would you recommend. Price Below 2k. Thanks

Note:I will play much PC steam games with it.

Using custom router with supplied BTU

Hello and happy weekends sifus. Just got Unifi installed today. Speed is good. But the tm router supplied wifi is very poor coverage. Aunty and family living next door hardly get good connection. sometimes no connection. Test the BTU ports at the back, only LAN 1 is working, which is connected to the router.the other ports are not operational. Thinking of getting a powerful router with longer coverage. Can any custom router works with the BTU LAN 1 port? Thank you sifus

Zotac GTX1060 or Zotac 1060 mini for 450w psu

Hi. I'm looking to upgrade my gtx 750 to something better for the latest games. My micro ATX case comes with 450w power supply. I'm thinking of getting a low power consumption gpu and I heard zotac gtx 1060 is good for that. But I'm not sure should I go with the AMP or mini version. And is it enough with my current power supply? planning to use the included molex to 6 pin connector converter. And I like the Zotac because of its small size hopefully can fit into my case. Thanks
