I just checked my may 2012 undergraduate application status into UTP and found out I was shortlisted to attend the educamp on 25th april, my question is that is this camp meant for scholarship applicants only or for everyone? Because I did not apply for any scholarships so I am abit confused now hehe.

And can anyone please give advice on what I should prepare on before the educamp? Much appreciated thanks. cheers! And I would love to hear from others attending utp for the interview too!

How difficult is it to get one actually? My friend in a level class has it, but that's probably because she has relatives over there. If not, is it actually hard to acquire the status if wanna work there??

BEng Petroleum Engineering(Hons) in UCSI

Hello there,

I am interested to look further into the Petroleum Engineering course in UCSI, seeing that UCSI is one of the very few unis offering this functional engineering course field in Malaysia, but I am truly concerned about its quality and accreditation with the BEM. UCSI states that it does comply with the requirements but when I last checked, it's not accredited yet.

Nevertheless, the course and subjects taught are very specific to the OnG field compared to UTAR and that is why I still insist on this program at UCSI. Anyone here have graduated from this course so far or are still studying it? Mind letting me in on some info that I need to know? I am worried about job search later onwards after I graduate compared to those who graduated from UTM and UTP Petroleum/Chemical Engineering courses, since big key players prefer those who graduated from those unis, but that's all I know.
