Riding Habits for All Times

* Never take shortcuts or cut corners on tight turns or switch backs.
* Ride only on existing trails, don't make new ones, including "turn-outs" around fallen logs.
* Respect private property. Treat the trail like the valuable treasure that it is.
* It's all about respect. Same goes for other trail users - respect them and they'll return the favor.
* Never litter. Try to pack out more than you bring in.
* Learn to fix a flat, repair a chain, etc. and carry tools that you will need to get yourself out of the woods.
* Wear a helmet.
* Ride softly. Dirt holds a special place in the heart of mountain bikers, so be kind to it. Don't skid; adjust your braking to the soil and terrain.

LOWYATNET KIARA MTB WORKSHOP

Hi to our fellow lowyatnet member. yes as usual tomorrow 11th oct. we will have the kiara mtb workshop for newbies. to those who like to join this session, u may just leave down your name and your contact (may pm me your numbers if u dont want any prank calls). this workshop will teach u some basic stuff bout mtb-ing. here are some of the things u will learn

1. things u should do before starting to ride
2. the proper adjustment / height of your bicycle
3. the correct way to cycle steep uphill
4. as u are learning the way to go uphill, we will teach u some cycling ethic.
5. every uphill there always be downhill, here u will learn how to do some descent in a very fast but safe way
6. as we are going more extreme, u will learn how to tackle steep slope and drops. and tight corners.

this workshop programme will start 7.30 am sharp tomorrow. meet up point will be at devis corner ttdi (somewhere behind 7-11 store. ) around 7am. we will have some light breakfast before the ride start. compulsory item that u must bring.

1. Helmet. no helmet no ride.

what to expect during the ride

1. mosquito bite
2. mud (if its raining on the day before the ride)
3. lots of uphill
4. 3-4 hours of non stop heart pumping high adrenaline ride
5. some small minor cuts here and there.

CCNA Course for Working Adults (July 2007 intake). Limited to 20 participants only

MMU in collaboration with CISCO has set up a Regional Networking Academy to train working IT professional with leading edge technologies in the networking area. Availing this opportunity, you will be trained to deal with real-life networking design issues, to find complex networking solutions, and troubleshooting networking problems. This course is totally different from the 5 day CCNA boot camp offered by IT Training Center. Participants can expect to have a good hands-on experience on Cisco routers. A substantial number of hours will be allocated for hands-on.
