WRX STI - 2017/18 local or 2020 recon

hi all sifu, recently i came across a low mileage (<1000km) CBU 2018 WRX STI. it was registered in dec 2017 and owned by the boss of a subaru authorized dealer. basically just used as a display car and rarely being driven (according to the dealer), hence the low mileage. they are asking for RM250k, and they mentioned it will still be given warranty under the dealer itself. The condition is still good and is completely stock.

i'm wondering if this is a good buy or should i get a 2020 recon from japan instead, which cost around RM240k in total. some of the pros and cons i can think of if getting the 2017 local WRX STI is:
+ still have local warranty
+ low mileage
+ can inspect the car personally
+ it's a 2.5L engine (where else japan import is 2.0L) so the power potential is higher
- higher roadtax comparing to its japan import counterpart
- overpriced (i think) for a 5 years car
- higher loan interest (because buying as used car)
- not really a big issue but the car is not in the color that i would want to buy

i hope you all can share some thoughts with me and give some advices to help me make a decision

Astro dish installation

Hi guys,

I bought a skybox recently, but the centralized dish at my condo has weak signals.
So, I am thinking of installing an additional astro dish for better signal.
Does anyone has any contact who i can refer to?
i tried asking the shops but they usually ask me to refer back to Astro (which i couldnt of course)
Also, usually how much it would cost?

Need help on English tuition

Hi guys,

i would like to ask if there is any suggestion on where i can find english tuition centre tat provide good courses tat focus on communication purpose, at a reasonable price...

i went to a few centres but most of them carry out courses tat are more towards grammar and written english.
wat i wan to find is a course tat concentrate on communication
put it simple, i wanna find a course who can guide a person (weak in english) to be able to talk in english accurately and confidently, mostly is for work nature

if possible, i hope this language centre is located in kota damansara area, so tat she can go to the course by herself directly after work

S4, Exteel, Gunz...

ok, basically i wish to play some action MMO with close combat fighting, basically something like S4, Exteel or Gunz
i've downloaded all these 3 games but:
S4 - i cant login, it says Account Error (apparently this is due to IP banning)
Exteel - Delay when shooting, i only tried the tutorial but with the 1++ second delay while shooting, there's no way i can play this
Gunz - i donno wat's wrong, but Gunz failed to start, even if i reinstall/redownload the game. anyway, i heard the lag is real bad for malaysia as well

these are the MMO shooter that i can find, but none of them work (playable) for me
could some1 suggest some similar game, possibly have a SEA server?

AUX on Waja Clarion HU

Hi guys, this is my first time posting in ICE

Recently, i'm trying to 'enable' the aux function for my waja default clarion HU
i know for tat, i need to attach an additional cable to the back of the HU

i tried to ask from a few ICE shops (i went to Brothers also), but they all said they no longer sell those cables
is this true?

does any sifus here know any shop tat can help me in PJ area, and probably the cost needed?
or is there any guide tat i can follow for DIY?

i jus moved into a condo at damansara recently, so i subscribe to streamyx 1mbs package.
i'm sharing the line with another housemate

now i donno whether it's a problem with the port, or my housemate a download freak, or due to recent throttle
the connection is much slower than previous streamyx connection tat i had (same package tat i shared with my ex-housemate)

so right now, i'm considering upgrading the connection to 2mbs, or maybe 4mbs
but wat i'm worrying is after upgrading, the speed will still sucks like this

any suggestion?

hi all, i am interested in learning to play piano, but a bit tight on budget
i would like to know on average, how much a piano course cost?
basically, i would like to reach a level where i can play the chords of the song tat i listened before
how long will this take?

is there any recommendation on where should i take a course (damansara area)?
i know yamaha is offering these courses, but i heard they r quite expensive
i did a search n found out about "play-by-ear" music school, but is not sure how effective it is
any comment?

My room is too hot!

lately the weather has become too hot to sleep even in the mid of the night.
to make things worst, i stayed at a small apartment room with no ceiling fan and small window.
the room is so suffocated, and with the recent hot weather, i cant have some good sleep at nite.

i'm going to move away soon (in another 3 months) due to contract ends, so i don wan to buy an air-con now.
i need to do something with the room or i'll become zombie at work everyday...

i've think of:
a) buying an air-purifier, the salesman said tat air-purifier will help the room to become cooler, but i'm not quite sure of this. any1 tried this b4?
b) portable air-con, i remembered i heard some1 mentioned something like this, do any1 know where can i get this?
c) tower fan, well jus to get another fan on top of the small table fan tat i'm having right now...

i believe some of us might face similar problem, due to the weather lately.
i hope some1 can help me on this...

Waja CPS or BLM?

guys, i'm in a middle of conflict to either choose Waja CPS or BLM.

i've actually decided to buy BLM previously
however, i visited proton showroom last nite, n i feel BLM is not really match with wat i really wan
when comparing BLM with waja CPS next to each other, i feel waja is far superior than BLM (i know i cant compare both models as they're from different car class)

anyway, getting a waja might be a burden for me
it's not like i cannot afford to get a waja, but each month i'll save less comparing to getting a BLM

my only question is this, which car will have a better value for money?
BLM for ~40k or
waja CPS for ~ 60k

pls provide me with some opinion, thanks

Some question about accident

hi all
i just involved in a car accident last nite
my car (satria) kena langgar from behind (by sentra), n thus causing my car to hit the car infront (wira)
according to both of them (sentra n wira), the actual procedure would be my car claiming the insurance from the sentra, n the wira claim the insurance from my car, although it was the sentra's fault.
i'm not so sure about this, could some1 confirm me on this?
i thought in situation like this, the car that cause the accident (sentra) should b responsible for all the cars

another question is, how long does it actually take for my car to be fixed?
do i need to wait from police/insurance company, then only can fix?
or can i jus fix it, then claim from the insurance

so far i've jus lodge a police report, do i need to do anything else?
pls guide me, 1st time accident leh

i jus bought a k810 and is planning 2 subscribe 3G
anyway, i cant decide whether to choose maxis or celcom....
from wat i read, celcom have better coverage, but slower speed
maxis limit the usage until 3gb only....
cant decide leh...
i'll mainly use for gaming or p2p, which 1 will b better?

or should i get a wired line instead??
but i wan mobility as well....
really pening liao.....
