GSD Puppies

Hi All,

I have a German Sherperd puppy, 3 months old of age and well , it is kinda my first time raising a GSD puppy myself.

I had 3 GSD before since young and grew up with them. However, they belong to my grandparents then.

I would like to find out more from the other GSD owners out there, on raising a healthy, strong, gsd puppies.

In terms of food, and supplements, what kinda food is good for gsd pupppies, which brand r u feeding and the amount given, as well as any other food stuffs on top of the dry kibbles alone?

I fed my pup with Acana Pacifica (which is suitable for all life stages) 1 huge pack of 13.5kg if im not mistaken, however, the stools seem very smelly and not too solid, its mostly soft but not diarrhea. just some softer base stools..and very dark in colour.

Later on i tried changing to Nutrisource Lamb Grain free, currently he is on the food for 3 days already, did mix with the Acana Pacifica, before completely switching over to the new brand, however, the stool is still smelly.. Probably he's still not 100% on the Lamb formula yet as i'm still mixing with Acana. The first two days, the stools were soft, and this morning his stool were more solid already, however the colour of the stools are less darker.

Still trying out on this brand to see how it works for my puppy.. Any comment for those who have tried Nutrisource before?

Also at the same time, i found out about Innova puppy formula, which i think might be good. Any comment?

I also found out EVO but i think that the protein contents is too high, above 40 over % for a puppy is not advisable though. Furthermore, high intake of protein base food will cause the kidney to work harder, am afraid it might affect the puppy's kidney in long run.

Also may i know what should be the ideal weight of a puppy at the age of 3 months old?

Pls feel free to share your views on the dry kibbles and their prices as well as locations, bcz i don't find it easy to look out for a pet shop / vet that has give more choices of dog food brands.

TQ.....[attachmentid=3055695][attachmentid=3055697][attachmentid=3055702][attachmentid=3055705]
