Renewing Insurance For Old Kancil

Hi guys, need a little help / advices / suggestions,

Context:

A friend of mine is going to renew the auto insurance of a 17 years old Kancil EZ 659cc:

- He planned to do it online via MyEG, switching from Kurnia to Takaful.

- The current policy imposed a 30% loading which he seems to be able to get rid of by renewing it online but Takaful requires a higher sum insured and the system doesn't allow it to be under insured.

Questions:

- Is that a good move? Or going POS Malaysia is a better choice?

- His model is automatically adjusted to 879cc by the system, is it ok to allow that? Will that be any issue?

- The current policy, somehow, comes with a personal insurance for the driver (RM 100), is it ok to not continuing that? Is that some sort of requirement for old cars?

Buying A Cheap Car

Hi, I need some advice from all the car fans/experts here as I don't know much about cars.

I plan to buy a cheap car, may I know which of these is a better choice?

1) Proton Saga FL 1.3 Executive (+- RM44k)?

2) Perodua Viva 1.0 Automatic (+- RM 37k)?

3) Used cars of around RM 20k-30k, any model suggested? Which model has less problem?

How much is the interest of Saga and Viva for 7/9 years loan? Is it around 4%?

I have lower budget for used car because I think an used car needs more money to maintain and consume more petrol, am I correct?

I actually prefer to get a 2nd hand car as it is much cheaper but I need suggestions and tips to choose a model.

Your suggestions and advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Product-Based FYP

Greeting, I'm asking this in place of someone I know who is in her final year and needs to complete her final year project (FYP) in the next few months. So here it goes:

She is in computer engineering and is on a product-based project (require to build hardware). The tittle has never been attempted by any of her seniors before.

But later she finds out that there are already similar products available in the market, better designed because those are industry standard products. There is no way for her to build a better one as a student and thus making her project not so impressive. So she wonders if she should proceed or change her project. Perhaps a software-based or research-based project would be easier and better for her portfolio?

So what is your advice? Thanks.

I'm not sure if I'm at the right topic.

Can anyone help me with this question?

Integrate{ [ sqrt(x - (x^2)) ] / [ 2 * (x^4) ] } dx

with substitution z = 1/x.

I managed to get the answer by that and second substitution with u = (1/4)*z - 1.

The answer I get is:

-16*[ (2/5)*(u^(5/2)) + (2/3)*(u^(3/2)) + C ] where C is a constant.

and I can't seem to simplify it. guide me anyone?

Can you recommend me a robust & budget 32 inch LCD TV? Robust as in won't give problems, budget as in as cheap as possible.

Hi guys, got a little problem here:

How to determine the larger of √5+√13 and √3+√19 without using a calculator?

It looks simple but I just can't can't find the solution, tried a<b and c>d => a-c<b-d but doesn't seem to work, squaring them also doesn't seem to help (18+√65 and 22+√57). Any idea?

If a pointer has more than one *, eg. **p, ***q, what does it stand for?
Are they still pointer?
When we gonna use that?

Internet sharing problem

ISP/package: TMNet Streamyx

Personal equipment
Modem: Aztech DSL208u USB modem
Router: -
Firewall used: Windows Firewall

Problem details
I want to share an internet connection over two laptops but I'm totally fed up after hours of trying and unable to find any solution via Google.

1st laptop: Windows XP SP3, connected to the USB modem stated above.
2nd laptop: Windows Vista SP1.

I tried ad-hoc connection, the two laptops got connected but somehow, I don't know how, the 2nd laptop cannot detect the internet connection.

What should I do to get it works?

Sorry if I am asking a noob question, I'm really noob in networks.

I will really appreciate any guidance.

Nokia N-Series survey

Every brand has several series, eg:
Nokia E-series, N-series, etc.
SE K-Series, W-Series, S-Series, etc.

For SE, i think the hottest series is W (or it is K?).
For Nokia, i think it is N.

I just wonder which model of the N-series has the most users, come in and vote~
Oso state why u prefer the model too~

Let me start it.
I like N73 because it is the only candybar model with AF camera in N-Series.
I am too lazy to flip or slide.

Nokia 5700 vs N73 vs N80

I have decided to get a new phone.
I am in a dilema of choosing between these 3 phones:
Nokia 5700, N73 and N80.

Because:

-5700's twisting form factor is cool! It has text-to-speech function and runs on the latest Symbian v9.2. And 1.6m colours screen too~

-N73 has a cool 3.2MP AF Carl-Zeiss lens camera! It has a camera lens protecter too. And a bigger screen compared to the other two.

-N80 has Wi-Fi! And higher resolution screen! No more joy-stick that i dun like.

Can anyone help me to decide?
