Reason for sale: Need money

Replaced missing diode on the PCB. PCB is not pristine as I've desoldered the switches I used on it previously. Brass plate was polished with brass polisher to clean the tarnish.
Regarding the missing diode on the PCB, KBDFans shipped it with a missing diode on one of the switch and it was replaced with another diode by a local keyboard modder.

So I'm going to apply for JPA scholarship but should I go for Japan because unlike MARA, JPA does not give details about the engineering course. I'm interested to go fo Software engineering but does Japan have it? Or should I choose german, france or korea for software engineering. If I fail in JPA might as well go to ALAM since I already passed the interview for Marine Engineering.

I'm thinking to dump my optical drive in my N45SL and replace it with a caddy so I can put the seagate momentus that come with the laptop in it and install a Crucial M4 64GB in my laptop. This is the Caddy I'm buying. Is it the right one for my laptop? And will the speed of my Seagate momentus will be affected if I use it?

Cannot install Nvidia Driver 296.17

I installed Windows 8 CP (x64) on my ASUS N45SL. Then I tried to install Nvidia Driver from the manufacture site, but the screen goes black when I reboot the laptop with only the mouse pointer visible. So I downloaded the Nvidia GeForce GT500M Series driver (296.17) for Windows 8 CP x64. Ran the installer but said that my device is not compatible so I modified the nvam file and add my GT635M card to the list. Ran the installer again, passed the compability thing. But during the installation I got this error.

Can anyone help me solve this issue?
