Laptop recommendation

My budget is 3k below and i often used it for videos, gaming or some school project....I knew so little about pc gadget stuffs so i hope someone would recommend a nice laptop for me.Here is some criteria about my ideal laptop

Brand: any
Processor: i5 or i7
RAM :3-4GB
Display: 15inch+

something around like that...I'm going to buy my laptop in Kuantan,Pahang(no pc fair) so it's better to recommend pc that could be found in that area(if possible agency too)

Concern:

1.Most of my friends recommend Asus brand but when i checked around the net review stated hp is better for some reason....I've heard dell is good at handling heat but recently one of my friend who used a dell XPS encountered overheating problem...

2.Sometimes when i saw in the advertisement, some brand pc let say(A) is cheaper than (B) however their performance is even better than (B) too...(A) processor is i7 and graphic card is better yet still cheaper....Does brand affect the money pricing too? If that so isn't it wise to take (A) instead of (B) ?

3.Sometimes when it comes to choosing a pc they often comes in a great variety such as different processor, ram & graphic card....So let say both pc (A) & (B) are the same price but (A) has better processor while (B) better in graphic card....Which one should i choose over with?

4.About 2 years ago when i went to a pc fair for inspecting i noticed both exactly same pc with different price....When i asked the promoter on why his/her pc is more expensive,he/she stated that the cheaper pc is a genuine window that's why it's cheaper compare to theirs. So the problem is wut with the window genuine or not genuine? and why the genuine one is even more cheaper??

Well hopes someone can assist me on finding the ideal laptop

Nanyang Poly >NPES<

I've been invited to sit for the National Precision Engineering Scholarship (NPES) interview for this coming wednesday. It's gonna be my 1st interview ever so i need to know a lot about it.My prior question will be what exactly is this digital & precision course? I know that NY website provide briefly information about it but i need it to be more elaborative For example, mostly i'll be study about wut? designing,Computering or electrical stuff? It seems that this course is related to manufacturing somehow seeing that every career path shown is almost related to it.However, wut exactly is the job i'll gonna do once i've graduate from this course? Designing the machine? Maintenance maybe? Absolutely no idea about it Somehow i've got the feeling that it'll be related with architect job Anyway, i hope someone can tell me more about this course.Thank you
