Lightning struck. LAN Card Dead.PC not able to run

Yesterday, was raining heavily and lightning struck my PC via telephone line. My PCI LAN card was kong so do my adsl splitter, but my modem is working fine. In order to start my PC, I have to remove the kong LAN card. However, window was stop loading after have been loaded for a while. Same goes for safemode or using boot CD. Even, booting my PC with/without HDD has the same result.

Please advise me what has gone wrong? Could it be my mobo? But I can access to BIOS.

Question about Renovation License from MPKJ

I am currently own a new double storey house at Bandar Damai Perdana which is under Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKJ). I wish to do yard extension on it, therefore I will have to apply for the license before I can do any renovation on it. My contractor offer me to settle the license with a fee of RM1,700/-, since I am not sure about the documentation and procedure required. Is the contractor charge reasonably?

So, do you think I should pay the fee and eliminate the hassle of travel thru and flow to MPKJ just to settle it. Or I should go by myself to settle it, if the contractor charges is too high?
