Post from Malaysia to China

I've been searching for old threads but couldnt find much information about it. So i think it might be better for me to start a new thread.

I am looking to deliver a <2kg good to China. I've singled out DHL, Fedex, GDex and other international courier services due to cost reason. The only alternatives for me are pos laju and pos malaysia air parcel. The price for pos malaysia is 60.00++(not sure if there is handling/fuel surcharge) while pos laju is double (120.00; handling and fuel surcharge included) My main concern here is, whats the difference in delivery time frame between pos malaysia and pos laju? if pos laju takes 1 week while pos msia air parcel takes less than 3 weeks, air parcel is definitely the cheaper alternative for me...

Those who have experience in sending goods to China from Malaysia, feel free to share your experience and thank you in advance.

an entrepreneur mindset

there are many definitions about entrepreneurs, and many people brand themselves as entrepreneur. In my opinion, i believe entrepreneurs are those who
1. can see things and opportunities that other people can't see, and
2. have the necessary abilities to execute them, and
3. are willing to take the calculated risks and put in every effort possible to make sure that they work.

these 2 attributes are equally important. what i meant by "a person can see things that other people cant", is that a person realises that there is a gap between transaction of two parties, and a profit can be made out of it. it can be a difference between demand and supply in a market, eg Tony Fernandez and Airasia. Or it can be buyers and sellers holding different information (called information asymmetry in economics) and help them to overcome this limitation and communicate better. one particular example would be real estate agents. Another type is those who can foresee a particular trend and goes into the market, being the pioneer in the market, eg. Bill Gates. All the above examples are big successful examples but it can go all the way down to local area like hairdresser, laundry and etc. This first attribute almost comes naturally in a person's instinct and can rarely be trained.

the second and third attribute are what determine how successful he is. Without that, he is just a dreamer, not an entrepreneur. One can come up with ideas everyday but he is still as ordinary as a normal person if he doesn't execute them. This is when experience can kick in and make a very big difference between success and failure. A person with a top class idea or sees a huge gap might not be able execute his idea successfully because he lacks the experience to do it. but the good thing is, experience can be gained. Another important thing is that the person must be determined enough to overcome any shortcoming that he face so that he can persist till the moment when his effort pay off.

Many people regard capital or $$$ as the most important thing for an entrepreneur (at least this is what my friends told me), but i disagree with that. If you dont have that much of money, DONT DO IT FIRST. Find other gaps that you can fill with the amount of capital (let alone RM1K, RM10K or even RM500) you can afford and start from there. Use that as a stepping stone (gain more capital) to your greater ideas.

This is just my opinion. you guys are welcomed to disagree or provide your own opinion. I'm finishing my degree this year and facing the dilemma of finding a secure job and climb the corporate ladder, or come out and start my own business, and learn from my failure.

interest only loan

in australia and many other western countries, there is a type of loan called interest only loan, where you take a loan to buy a property, but u only pay the interest (high than usual loan) without paying the principal. only when u decide to sell the property u pay the principal with the money u got from the sale. the point is, without having to pay the principal every month, you can get a positive cashflow from your property and then when u decide to sell it (hopefully when the price goes up), you make a capital gain.

does interest only loan exist in malaysia?
