Useful links for self study on programming?

Does anyone have any useful link(s) or know any books/ebooks for self study on programming?
I am taking foundation for IT next year but I am going to use my SPM results and I don't want to waste too much time at home doing nothing.

Career Path Dilemma (IT & Game Development)

I am still unsure if I really want to take IT because I am scared I may get too tired/bored of it like how I got tired of Add maths. Or is it better than what I think?
Is there any other course that's more or less like IT but doesn't have a lot of maths in it? Like there might be a mix of something else so I won't get tired of it.
And if I am taking the IT course in the end, I was thinking of going for MMU but are there better college/uni in Singapore for that course? Because I may be able to find a place to stay there easily.
Hope my questions aren't stupid.

I am planning to take Diploma for Computer Science next year after taking my SPM results. Any recommended universities? I am only looking at Sunway and the Diploma IT course at MMU for now.

Slow Torrent download (again)

I have been getting slow torrent downloads again lately. I am using both Vuze and uTorrent but both are slow still.

These days I realized my torrent downloads are pretty slow. 300+ seeders move at 10+ kb/s and 1k+ seeders move at 1kb/s. Using uTorrent atm any solution for this?
