Laptop can't shut down properly

im using lenovo Y460, lately when i shutdown the laptop, as usual the screen goes black but strangely the fan still running and all the lights are still on. i have to "force shutdown" by pressing the on/off button for few seconds only able to turn off completely

it doesnt happen everytime, sometimes can shut down as normal. happen only when after the laptop are used for many hours

RM1.6mil lost to monk scam

PETALING JAYA: Fourteen victims who fell for a 4-D scam operated by a syndicate posing as a popular Thai monk have lost more than RM1.6mil.

MCA public services and complaints department head Datuk Michael Chong said the syndicate mainly targets Chinese but ran out of luck recently due to constant publicity in Chinese dailies.

“The syndicate now targets the Malay segment and we have recently received a complaint from a Malay victim who lost RM30,000 to it,” he said at a press conference yesterday.

He said the syndicate usually employed odd-job workers to place flyers advertising the monk's contact number on cars and in mail boxes belonging to Malay owners.

The flyers also featured a so-called testimonial by a person whose “life was changed due to the help of the monk”.

Chong said the victims would call the number on the flyer to ask for lucky numbers for lottery betting.

“For a higher winning chance and prize, more money has to be paid to the bogus monk,” Chong said.

The victims said the bogus monk informed them that the money would be paid to the “super monks” for their prayers and predictions of lucky numbers.

“These victims usually realise they have been cheated when the predicted lucky numbers they have paid for did not win,” Chong said.

He added that in February this year, a 40-year-old woman lost more than RM1mil to the syndicate in hopes of increasing her winning chances in lottery betting.

He also mentioned that none of victims had met or seen the bogus monk personally, and the money was paid via telegraphic transfer.

Umno Youth Community Complaints Bureau Chairman Datuk Muhd Khairun Aseh and UMNO Youth National Exco Gasing Saling were also present.

Khairun said he would bring this matter up with the relevant authorities.

Girl hypnotised and raped in Malaysia

Petaling Jaya (The Star/ANN) - An 18-year-old Malaysian girl has lodged a police report a month after she was raped, reported Malaysian newspaper Harian Metro.

The girl claimed that she was hypnotised by a man in his 20s at their first meeting during lunch on a working day.

She said the man looked straight into her eyes while muttering something to himself.

A police source said the woman claimed that she could not remember being raped even after the suspect sent her back to the office hours later.

She only realised something was amiss the next morning after she woke up.

She recollected that she was taken into a Taman Bukit Permai house in Ampang the day earlier and was raped.

"The victim, who suddenly realised what had happened, called the man but he turned off his phone.

"She made her police report on the matter on Monday in Pandan Indah police station," the police source added.

Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Amiruddin Jamaluddin confirmed receiving the report and that they are investigating.
