Nintendo is reportedly working on a project to replace its struggling Wii U home console with something called Nintendo Fusion, according to a rumor printed by the website Nintendo News.

The name “Fusion” evidently refers to the notion that the future portable gaming system and the console are being jointly developed. If it’s true, this shows that one of the world’s oldest game companies has no intention of being left behind by Microsoft and Sony in the technological dustbin — and that Nintendo is working on a way to revitalize its sagging bottom line in the multibillion dollar game industry.

A spokesman for Nintendo said it doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation.

A source told Nintendo News that the hardware systems may be named Fusion DS and Fusion Terminal. The portable machine will reportedly combine an ARM-based central processing unit from an unspecified chip vendor and a custom Adreno 420-based graphics processing unit from Advanced Micro Devices. It will have 3GB of main memory, including 2GBs for games.

The Fusion Terminal, or console, will reportedly use an AMD custom Radeon HD RX 200 GPU and a 64-bit IBM custom Power CPU with eight cores. Both the handheld and the console will be relatively beefy machines using those specs.

After last week’s news that Nintendo’s Wii U console is expected to sell 2.8 million units in the fiscal year ended March 31 instead of the expected 9 million, it’s clear Nintendo needs a new plan. The company is expecting to lose $240 million in the fiscal year, compared to its previous forecast of a profit of more than $500 million.

“What we know is that ‘Nintendo Fusion’ is a possible name that Nintendo is using for their next-gen hardware,” according to the Nintendo News story by Kevin McMinn.

Nintendo of America actually bought the name nintendofusion.com back in 2003. That name was originally related to a rock music and video game festival sponsored by Nintendo’s North American division.

Pallab Chatterjee, a seasoned chip engineering editor and founder of the Silicon Valley Trade Council, said, “A couple of things don’t make sense.” He noted that the Adreno cores are part of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip set and are not offered or licensed to AMD. The ARM architecture currently cannot run PowerPC code that IBM uses in the existing Nintendo products. That would mean a 100 percent loss of legacy code compatibility, Chatterjee said.

He also said the 3GB of memory in the portable device also seems small for the applications that will reportedly run on the machine, especially if the screen is a high-resolution one. The camera specs seem a bit light as well, Chatterjee said.

Hard Disk Drive Corrupted Problem

Hi there, been quite a long time I did not visit this forum.

So, I got a question at hand and Google Search did not help me to ease my conscience. I've got finals coming up in a few weeks and I need to study and stop gaming for a while. But there's something that worries me. Once my PS3 HDD got corrupted because I did not start it a week or two ( I think so ). This was 6 or 7 month after I bought my PS3. I remember that the warranty was finish. Well, Sony did give only 6 months of warranty coverage. I'm afraid that if I don't turn on my PS3 for quite some time this will happen again and I don't want to turn on my PS3, or I will not study

Is it really a problem that a PS3 that is not turn on for quite some time will corrupt the HDD or I'm just got bad luck from my first HDD?

Social Circles

Everyone got their social circles right? I mean, home town friends, co-workers, college mates, school mates and more. Well as for me. I do have all those social circles. My primary social circles are my home town friends, college mates, co-workers, band mates, and PSN friends.

Well, the problem occur with my college social circle. Last 2 months we all went for a vacation and we snap pictures. One of my friends actually snap like a dozen of pics with a girl and he already have a GF. When I want to upload it, I ask for his permission whether I can upload the pics and whether his girlfriend will be furious if she found out. His actual response was actually "Ok, she won't find out. I'll cover the tracks baikkk punya". Then last 2 weeks, the pictures was 'kantoied' by his GF, they got into a big argument. From then until now, my friend won't talk to me. It's like he is blaming all of the arguments and 'kantoied' on me. F**K him.

I don't what is actually the reason that he won't have a conversation with me. Then all of my friends in the social circle won't talk to me. Before this, I was really close to them. When we go for a vacation, I was providing the transportation, they always ask me for help regarding their assignments and more. My college is actually pretty small, everywhere I go I was bound to meet them. I couldn't careless about them, I have more friends outside the college. But right now, I have 1 and a half year remaining in the college. I getting annoyed for seeing their face. Right now, I am resisting myself to hit each one of them in the F**King face. I even sucked up my ego and asked him what's wrong and such.

I just want to know, if this is all my fault and is this the right way to deal with the situation?

So, I've known my crush for more than 4 months now. I asked for her number 4 months ago directly from her. We text and talk everyday. Then I've decided to ask her out 2 months ago. Since then we have been out for several dates. But still, I don't know whether she has the same feelings as I do towards her. She rarely texts me first and I asked her, she just get angry and said "If I'm a nuisance for you to text, then don't text me anymore". But then I still keep on talking to her and all.

But when I was ready to confess how I feel for her, a problem rose. The problem started when I took her out for a Futsal match near our housing area. I pay my share of the futsal fee with RM50, and got the balance afterwards. The money exchange was actually happening right in front of her eyes. She said that I was having a 'bet' with my friends whether or not I would succeed to bring her to the futsal game. I mean c'mon, I paid for every meal that we had together, all my credits for when we talk for hours at night almost every day, the times I spent with her. I told her that even if it was a 'bet' the money would even sufficient enough for what I've spent on her. And truthfully, I do not have any sort of betting or gambling to get her. I just love her genuinely, and sincerely. Now she won't speak to me, she won't reply me text, answer my calls, reply my calls. It's been weeks. So messed up now. Where the hell did I go wrong? Please give me some advice. Some advices how to get her back. Please, to all Love Gurus. It would be much appreciated.
