What to do when no open port in your area?

As stated in topic title. I tried calling TM Unifi and Maxis asking them if I can get some internet installed for my home. They said port in my area is full and there's nothing they can do until they open some more ports in the area. What can I do? Right now I'm just looking to have broadband internet for my home, regardless of ISP. Any help appreciated.

Dispute with MOL AccessPortal Sdn Bhd

Firstly, I apologize if this it not the right place to post this.

Recently as some of you might know, MOL was pulled from Steam recently as one of the payment options. No announcement or any form of public notification was made to the users. Not knowing that beforehand, I bought some points hoping to buy some games on Steam. To my disappointment, I could not use my MOL points as payment option. Feeling cheated because I wasn't informed about this (service not as described since the points can't be used for Steam purchase anymore) I went to their customer service to ask for refund, since the points are useless now for me since I can't use it for Steam purchases. They keep ignoring me when I asked the reason for not informing the users about this problem, especially when Christmas is near and sales are popping up left and right. Distraught because I was ignored by MOL customer service, I raised a dispute through Paypal in hope of getting a refund through them, which later escalated to a claim.

Few days after the dispute was raised, MOL sent me an email, telling me that they locked my MOL account because of the dispute I raised through Paypal. They also said that if I want my money and access to my MOL account back, I should close the dispute with Paypal. At this point I'm not sure if I should do as they requested. They don't even use proper english in their email.

What should I do?

Please advise.

Need help with gaming cpu shopping list

I have RM4k budget. I'd like to have a 1TB HDD for storage and 128GB SSD for boot. For the rest I don't really care as long as it's a good functioning combo. What can I get that is optimized for gaming? Would prefer stability over performance that can really heat up the system. Hope you guys can help me come up with a list. Just for the CPU. Thank you!

So after going to the interview, presented yourself the best you could, and feeling that you nailed the interview, you move on with other interviews or other stuff.

After a while, should you call up or email your prospective employer and ask them if you're still running for the job? Or should you just wait for weeks without any update and assume you didn't get the job? The usual answer is usually just wait till they call you up (if they actually call, that is). The wait time can be very frustrating if you're currently jobless, but beggars can't really be choosers. I'm curious as to what other people think about this.

And what should I do improve my salary (other than looking for a bigger better company overseas). I know my line of work isn't that spoken about much in this forum (and the closest I've seen is graphic designer), but I'd like to know what you guys think.

Problem with KLMU administration

I'm not sure if I'm in the right board but here goes.

OK its a bit of a long story but I'll try to make it short and understandable.

Basically I registered for practicum subject. I was told by my faculty head of department that I should be able to take the subject now since I'm finished with my core subjects (I still have 1 non core subject left). So just to be safe, I asked the admin lady who're in charge of subject registration if I could really take the subject. She told me if my head of department already said okay it should be fine. I asked her again just to be very sure until she got bored. After that I hand over the subject registration form to her. I was told that when the internship letter is ready they'll call me.

Few weeks later, not receiving any call I went to the college to pick up my practicum / internship letter assuming it was ready. To my surprise, the admin officer in charge of handing out the letters told me that I'm not qualified to take the subject and that he won't give me the letter until I finish the other subject. Take note that at that time, if I drop any registered subject, I'll have to pay some charge for dropping subject in the middle of semester since its already been 2 weeks after the add and drop week, which is bullshit. I told him that I already registered for the subject and stuff. He said that that problem is between me and the admin, which is weird because I thought he is part of the admin staff (which he is).

So now I'm left with a subject that I already registered but can't pass because that officer won't clear it. And also I'll have to pay for it.

What should I do here? Should I drop the subject and pay the charge? (i'd rather not)

Am I wrong because I registered the subject? I did ask the other admin lady a few times before registering to prevent this kind of bullshit from happening. I also asked my head of department before I went along with this. Credit control people said that there will be a charge for dropping after the add and drop period.

I think its bullcrap because I'm not at fault here. But I could be wrong. What do you guys think? Could I go to the consumers tribune with this?

Oh and the said college have a horrid reputation for its administration and management. Don't ask why I stayed lol. Another long story.

Slow Steam download speed

I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask this so sorry if I got it wrong.

Anyways, I'm having this problem with my steam download speed. Whether its for updating or downloading full games. My download speed for WoW updates and Starcraft 2 and other usual downloads are around 300-400kb/s while steam downloads are only 140kbs tops and 70-80 average and sometimes as low as 40kb. This only happens recently. Before this it was at top speed and I'm pretty sure I didn't change any of the settings. What should I do? Any help and suggestions are welcome

*extra note*
I got streamyx installed recently at my new home (around 2-3 weeks ago). When I said that it was at top speed before, I was referring to those few weeks. Does this have to do with streamyx bandwidth throttling kicking in or something? If so, why are my other downloads are unchanged and still at full speed? Does this have something to do with the crazy steam sales going on all week?
