Resume Editing Service for Sale

Hi All,

I've been running a FACEBOOK PAGE that provides resume editing service since March 2015 when I was in Uni. I've closed about 45+ deals, the price range is from RM50 - RM100 for each edited Resume with LEAST marketing effort done because I'm managing alone. Assuming RM75 on average, the total profit I've made is about RM3,375. The reason why I would like to sell is that I'm currently busy with my work, can't handle this biz anymore.

Details of this business:
1. Selling Price
RM3500, ROI for 1 year would definitely more than 100%, with marketing effort (promoting in fb page etc), definitely able to achieve higher ROI.

2. Demand will be increased
More and more graduates with limited supply of jobs, they'll definitely go for value-added service like resume editing service at small fee.

3. Simple business model
I will be providing template of decent Resumes, you'll just have to copy paste / edit some (I'll guide you step by step), easy to be learnt.

4. Repeat sales
Without any marketing effort, at least 2 clients will approach you through my page every week. Would be much more if marketing is done.

Corporate Banking in ICBC

Hey guys,

I'll be graduating in May this year. I was being offered a job in Corporate Banking at ICBC Malaysia through direct hire, will meet their HOD next week to discuss the job role and details.

Initially, I would like to involve myself in Investment Banking Division/Corporate Finance through joining local management trainee programme. However, what I'm looking forward is the opportunities to deal with people (outsiders, clients and etc), I like to talk and a working environment that allows me to learn and grow (not doing same thing for the one whole year).

I have googled the roles in Corporate Banking, however I would like to listen to experienced people who had involved in CB about the working exposure, scopes, career prospect and its exposure?

Appreciate a lot for your constructive advice!

BO in JP Morgan?

Hi guys,

I have just applied for a 2-year program called Corporate Analyst Development Program in JP Morgan.
I've passed 3 stages (IQ, numerical, group interview) and now will be proceeding to the last stage of interview in Jan.

New analyst will experience 3-4 rotations which could be any in these areas:
1. Core operations
2. client service/sales support
3. Analytics, MIS, business management
4. Operational risk and control
5. project management and process improvement
6. product

It's actually a back-office job. but there would be an induction training in HK for this program in the first month.
So my question is:

Is a front-office job (treasury, research, sales and trading, corporate finance) in boutique or small banks better than a back office job in bulge bracket like JP Morgan? In terms of corporate culture, exposures, exit opportunity, etc. as I know it is extremely hard for one from BO to transfer to FO!

Anyone knows what's the lowest brokerage investment bank ( per transaction ) so far?

Wanna invest in stock markets, but due to limited capital (hundreds ringgit), so its better to find a low brokerage investment bank
to execute the transaction, if not money burns!! LOL!

Hi guys, did you guys hear about OSKIC? It's an investment challenge which held by OSK for all the students within the Malaysia's campus.

We're given RM100K as a starting investing capital and the game will be ended within a month.

So in a such condition, long-term investment approach and fundamentals analysis will not be worked out due to the limits of time?

So any ideas by all the gurus which kind of analysis or techniques to be used to gain the advantages in this game?

Paper Recycling

It's a great job (paper, newspaper collector), it makes dedication to environment, recycle and at the same
time able to get some income.

The profit margin is about 100% + , and yes it will be hard job.
But to start this business, is it just a Van / Lori is needed, and after collect all the papers and newspapers, send it
to the paper factory/agent to get the money.

Is it that simple? Any business license is needed?

When i saved a pdf. file, which is in normal (1 slide 1 page).
And i adjusted it into 6slides in 1 page, when i print it, its showing Flattening.
I waited for a long time, but still cant proceed.
( I'm using laser printer)

Hi all.
I am studying my degree in UTAR and i'm taking finance as my major course.
I would like to maintain my CGPA to around 3.8 to ensure that i may get the
FREE PTPTN and honor as well.

The cgpa needed to achieve Honours Degree with Distinction ( First Class )
is 3.67 to 4.00. It might looks simple but it isn't simple when u need to
maintain the gpa for every of your exams in 3 years.

So, the seniors that scored / got the first class degree/ with distinction in your degree,
might to share your experience with us?

Are Students Over-valued the Results?

It's well known that, since we were borned, we were being educated by parents / teachers.
But, i realized that most of the family especially from the traditional families, are OVER-emphasized
the results (academic) that taken by their children.

Most of the parents, praise their children because they get a good result, but not
their attitude and hard-work they did along the way in order to pursuit the honor and good results.
Most of the parents would like to make their child to become what they
want to but not what the child want to.

Well, results and academic performance is important. But it's not an only indicator
to measure someone's potential, abilities or even success.
Ability to conduct a good communication with others, attitude, social circle, health and others
are important as well. All of this make it as a whole, but not only academic which
the parents ONLY emphasized.

It's culture. If parents valued the academic results too much, most of their children will did
the same. So that, most of the students like to compare with others with their results.
Everyone is different with others. Nothing to be compared.
If yes, i think attitude would be

1. I am going to proceed to degree in bachelor of finance ( in UTAR) after a month, so in order to become a financial analyst, the degree cert is very important?

2. Besides getting the knowledge in lecture classes, is it any program or platform that related to finance/investment open to any parties?

3. Im currently study some CFA's materials, is the CFA useful for financial analyst?
